Hotel Opal'Inn — Hotel in Boulogne-sur-Mer

This relatively small hotel is conveniently located on the D-940. Access by car is very easy, and there's a large public parking lot across the street. The hotel faces Boulogne Plage, a wide, sandy beach, and is a very short walk from Naussicaá, which bills itself as the largest aquarium in Europe. We found we could also walk into downtown Boulogne, as well as to the medieval walled city, although that was a bit of a hike and wouldn't be for everyone. Our room, as well as the common areas, were clean and modern. As with most European hotels, the rooms are a bit small by American standards, but we found ours to be entirely adequate to our needs. The staff were excellent - welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. My only downside was the Wifi service. It seems to be provided by a third party. Log-on was VERY slow and for some reason it didn't get along well with my antivirus and VPN. But once you finally got logged on, it worked ok. ||Overall, a good value, and highly...

This is my review of Opal Inn||I'm not quite sure where to begin||Okay let's start with the check-in||It was just fine, English speaking||||We ordered a room with sea viewing||It had no air conditioning||The window let some cool air in||But with it came the traffic din||||The room had basic carpeting||with a small rail for clothes hanging||a desk and chair to do writing||and TV mounted near ceiling||||The bed was large with fresh linen||Sockets each side for phone charging||Plus controls for room lighting||All quite convenient for sleeping||||The bathroom basic, no hair drying||It had a bath tub for bathing||And wall mounted soaps for dispensing||I wouldn't say it was striking||||I must mention the parking||Space was limited, that's the thing||The car park opposite was heaving||And charged a ransom for a king||||So I hope my review does underpin||My short stay at Opal'Inn||To other reviews it is akin||With rhyming slant,...

Our group of two Canadian couples decide to spend one night at this hotel, during our three week tour of France.||We were pleasantly surprised with our rooms, both of which had ocean views. The rooms were large, clean, with comfortable kingbeds and roomy washrooms. Although there were no A/C’s in the rooms, large windows facing the ocean could be opened, allowing cool air to flow in. Free WiFi was available; however, it was inconsistent on the 6th floor where our rooms were located.
