Husband, daughter and I stayed with Pierette at Riverside Home Cottage in August and I've been meaning to do this review since then. ||||We stayed on the 2nd floor and had the entire floor to ourselves - a magnificently decorated and comfortable king bedroom, beautiful bathroom with elegant lotions and potions, and a lush day-bed adorned beautifully with curtains for our daughter. And this led out to a sun trap balcony overlooking the river and countryside with lovely plants enclosing the balcony. Coffee and various teas supplied as well.||||Pierette provided sumptuous breakfasts daily in a gorgeous little breakfast/dining room just across from the main house overlooking the river. All ingredients either home made, home grown or sourced from friends, and delicious sweet and savoury pastries from the local Boulangerie. ||||Pierette was a lovely, gracious and enthusiastic hostess - and nothing was too much trouble. Her home is magnificent and Riverside Home Cottage is one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Thank you so much for your exuberant...

Bed was very comfortable, bathroom bright and modern, and we loved the little tearoom/library set up with a selection of garden gnomes on the bookcase - I said it was quirky! We also loved the little fisherman’s cottage across the lane where Madame served home-prepared breakfasts in the morning. We felt very welcome, and “at home” while we were there. Trèbes is a little quiet, but the port area (Canal du Midi) is a short walk from the house, and there is a bus to Carcassone if want a...
