Stayed for one night en route to the Loire valley. Arrived via the sea cat from Portsmouth, easy to find, being only minutes from the port, ample safe road parking. Was welcomed by the owner who speaks good English. Room clean and tidy and well equipped. The house is full of character and 2 rooms have been converted to provide a spacious bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was served when we wanted it and was more than sufficient. Cherbourg itself was fantastic, great restaurants, and a safe environment to walk round at night. We enjoyed the family-style breakfast (bread, jam, coffee, croissants). The room was nicely decorated, although not very big.
