We got no idea why this hotel has 4 stars, it doesn't correspond even to 3 stars. Room 317
At the day of arrival we were not suggested welcome drink voucher (only upon reminder from our side) There was no apres-shampooing!! There were no shower caps, there were no cotton pads etc. So, one can remember the days in the 90-s when we had to bring everything with us during travelling - the feeling of that days returned grace to this hotel, one cannot rely on this place There was no make-up/magnifying mirrow even though according to the official duscription of the room on the site there had to be such a mirrow There are only plastic cups in the room (and their quantity is limited) from which it's simply impossible to drink hot tea or coffee - they are so thin that it's impossible to handle it when something hot is poured in The room was very dirty, dust in the corners and even spider webs are supposed to be normal here Why do you put new "clean" additional pillows at open bottom shelves practically at the level of floor? Grace to that pillows becomes dirty - all the dust lies on them...after that guests are supposed to put head and face on these pillows?. Absolutely absurd policy during the breakfast - there are no glasses/cups near juices or coffeemachines, there are no plates at buffets - it's assumed that guests take cups, glasses and plates from their table and fill them... So, if I tried one juice, snfwant to try the other one i should pour it in the same glass? If I ate omlete or fried eggs and then switched to deserts, should I put viennoisries in already dirty plate?? It looks like in the hotel guests are treated like pigs... If such system exist there should be plenty of waiters that are ready to give new dishes but no... usually people just had to took dishes from other tables... On the day of departure we left 4 luggages in a storage room and... they even didnt have enough bagics for 4 cases! The stuff at the reception showed "great comittment" - there was no paper /blocknote and no pen in our room, i told about that to a girl at reception (named Ouzna) and asked someone to bring it to the room - I needed to make some notes (after all again it's a poor room service) and... Noone did it! Ouzna the next day even didnt appologize and simply said that they didnt have time to do it!! So guests are not important here there are more important things to do or guests are not equal here...
You do expect people to have a desire to come back to your hotel?...
Read moreEverything was amazing...great breakfast, comfy beds and rooms, interesting choice of parking space theme...Unfortunately, there was one thing that was disappointing: the dirty pool facility.
We wanted to take a quick swim the morning before checkout. Once we got there, we noticed it was not well taken care of at all. The shower facility to enter the pool had spider webs all over the shower head, and the floor was filled with dirt. Inside the pool, there were dead bugs all within the pool.
We wanted to swim in the morning, so I could have assumed maybe most of the bugs flew into the water overnight. However, seeing how the shower was super dirty can mean they don't really take care of this facility. Even where the pool water was circulating from could have used some cleaning. Especially during the summer, it should be something to give more attention towards because guests could potentially want to cool off with a swim. We were willing to do the cleaning ourselves and even asked if we could use the net to try and catch some of those bugs (which I would have expected to be available on a hook by the pool for this particular circumstance). Unfortunately, apparently the net was in the cleaning room and the front desk did not have a key - which quite honestly, is not something I would expect to hear.
We picked this hotel in Dijon specifically to utilize the pool. Everything was amazing and we were planning on going back the next time we stayed in Dijon. Its unfortunate we were unable to swim as that was the big selling point for us. Hope they will take greater care of this facility...
Read moreWe just stayed here for a night on our way from Italy through to Calais and I’m incredibly pleased with the service of this hotel, the staff were polite and helpful, the room was huge, beautiful and clean and the complementary soft drinks and slippers in the room were a lovely touch. The bed was also incredibly comfortable and I loved the fact there was a little coffee machine in the room ( although we didn’t get a chance to use it )
The outdoor area is beautiful , we unfortunately got there too late to have a dip in the pool but sat outside to enjoy a drink which was really nice!
I can’t comment on location as we only stayed here one night and did not go out however the hotel was easy to find and easier to enter from the road which was very useful to us as first time drivers in this country. We also ate at the hotel restaurant last night and the service for a hotel restaurant was amazing , the staff were very professional and the food was delicious ( we had the steak) would definitely recommend.
We parked our car in the underground car park which was easy to access and was incredibly well designed and clean also. I do not have any negatives on the hotel however I do think for the amount of the room for one night ( which was totally worth it ) that €15 is a little high for one nights parking but then again it’s very secure and I did not mind paying it and would pay it again to stay there I just think it could be slightly cheaper to park. All in all amazing hotel and...
