Awful service from staff, because I didn't speak French. I was a lone traveller staying at the hotel which the restaurant is attached to. I don't speak a word of French but with the help of Google translate I managed to ask the waitress if she spoke English or Italian. She said no so I pointed to what I wanted which was the Veal steak. 10 minutes later a burger turned up! I obviously didn't have the words to express what I wanted to say, so I just accepted the burger. (The burger was nowhere near the Veal stake on the menu btw). After I finished (it was actually pretty good) I managed to order some cheese (formaggio sounds like fromais!) and asked if I could get another glass of wine by pointing at the empty wine glass. The cheese turned up but the wine didn't, yet she kept walking past me knowing fully that she had no intention to fill up the glass. I noticed there were other English people being served by a younger waitress who did speak a little English and they seemed to have a perfectly good time.    Read moreThe Filet de boeuf for âŹ39,- was a complete disaster. I ordered a medium filet de boeuf, but it was well done. I sent it back to the chef and he gave me after 5 minutes the same piece of meat. A total disrespect. So, I sent it back, waited 15 minutes and I got a new filet de boeuf, which was.... well done. So I lost my temper and sent it back to the kitchen. So finaly, half an hour after the other main courses were served, I got a good filet de boeuf. In the meanwhile, the service staf did nothing to make the waiting time more convenient. No drinks or anything was offered. No small bites to compensate or pass the waiting time. Most of all, the chef has never apologized for such a bad job.
I had a good and friendly conversation with the head of service and made him clear that the serving staf could have done more. He agreed, accepted my learning points and took my filet de boeuf...

Nous Ă©tions assises Ă lâextĂ©rieur et il a commencĂ© Ă pleuvoir, on nous a proposĂ© de changer de table mais ils nous ont proposĂ© une table trĂšs proche dâune grande tablĂ©e trĂšs bruyante, ce qui ne me permettait pas de discuter calmement avec mon amie. Dâailleurs jâavais dit au serveur que je pouvais rester Ă ma table, il suffisait simplement de nettoyer lâexcĂšs de pluie tomber sur une partie de la table, le cĂŽtĂ© oĂč nous Ă©tions assises Ă©tant sec. Finalement nous dĂ©cidons de rentrer et de nous asseoir Ă une table un peu en retrait des autres clients pour avoir un semblant de calme. Sauf que mon cocktail et notre bouteille dâeau pĂ©tillante Ă©taient restĂ©s Ă lâextĂ©rieur. Nous avons demandĂ© au serveur de nous lâapporter car visiblement il nâen avait pas lâintention.
Ensuite nous avions pris des plats sans viande Ă©tant donnĂ© que nous mangeons que des plats Ă base de viande Halal, aussi notre choix sâest portĂ© sur les poissons. La jeune serveuse, ou stagiaire au vu de son manque dâexpĂ©rience et de professionnalisme, nous apporte nos plats en prĂ©sentant le 1er et pour le 2eme elle me dit simplement : poulet ah je ne sais plus son appellation . ForcĂ©ment je mâĂ©tonne en lui faisant remarquer trĂšs poliment que jâai commandĂ© du poisson et non du poulet. Et la demoiselle me rĂ©pond : ah ben câest du poisson alors ! SincĂšrement je nâai pas lâimpression dâavoir Ă©tĂ© respectĂ©e en tant que cliente, je trouve que son attitude a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs dĂ©placĂ©e. La moindre des choses dans ce cas de figure câest de retourner en cuisine et demander confirmation du plat. En gros elle mâaurait dit : prends ton assiette et tais toi ça aurait Ă©tĂ© pareil.
Finalement jâai payĂ© 119 euros pour 2 personnes et je nâai laissĂ© aucun pourboire Ă DESSEIN. Sachez quâun restaurant qui se dit gastronomique se doit dâaccueillir et de respecter lâensemble de ses clients, quels que soient leur origine, leur statut social supposĂ©, leur apparence, il faut former le personnel Ă lâouverture dâesprit, Ă la bienveillance et Ă lâHUMILITĂ.
