🧭 Review of Pierre et Vacances Résidence Les Parcs de Grimaud (July 14–22, 2025)
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly base to explore the French Riviera and plan to spend little to no time in your accommodation, this residence might suit you. But if you value rest, comfort, and sleep — look elsewhere.
Pros: • Convenient location: many beautiful Riviera destinations are easily reachable within 200–250 km. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips in the region. • On-site parking is a big plus in this area.
Cons (and they’re serious): • The lack of air conditioning in the apartments during the July heat (up to 35°C during the day and 25°C at night) made our stay physically exhausting. For people used to using AC even in Siberia, this was unbearable. • Although there was a single fan provided per apartment, it did little more than push hot air around — absolutely ineffective for cooling the room. • We tried to rent a portable air conditioner, as we successfully did in the same residence last year, but were told this was no longer possible.
Bottom line: This place may work for those who only need a place to sleep and can tolerate extreme heat. But until the management addresses the lack of proper climate control, I cannot recommend staying here during the summer. Spend a little more elsewhere and actually enjoy your...
Read moreThis place is a wonderful one for those who want to relax. The area of the complex is huge and even when all the rooms are occupied by tourists you do not feel the crowds in any way. It is very quiet and peaceful. One can always find the sunbeds no matter the time he/she decides to come to the swimming pool. That is a great advantage. The garden, plants and trees make the sourrandings really beautiful. The distance to the beach is not very short. Depending on the house you stay in you can have about 1km to the beach. It could be a problem but the way to the beach leads through a great avenue of palm trees, blooming trees, so you do not feel this distance that much especially that the beach is awesome. The rooms are a bit small. There were five of us in the room but we quickly got used to this. There is a nice terrace. The kitchen is truly well equipped. The only disadvatage for me was the fact that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Fortunately, the temperatures were quite ok in July, no great heat so we coped with this problem somehow. I definately recommend this hotel. This is the great location to see beautiful...
Read moreWe paid 300 euros upfront for 1 night and then they demanded a 200 euro deposit. We arrived at 5pm and the room was not ready until 7pm!? I explained I live over seas and that if they block 200 euros on my card it will mess up my holiday. They demanded it and i had no choice. We got to the room and there was blood on the curtain and ceiling. They even had a punch mark in the plasterboard wall. It was average to say the least. The pool is tiny and the security guards banned us from taking unopened food to the pool so we had to walk back and put it in the blood drenched vandalised room. If you are thinking about booking place just look the opposite side of the road there is a nice place with similar facilities and a more fraction of the price. I will NEVER return here as you get treated like a criminal just to stay in a kind of place only a criminal would. But they...
