Tangerine — Restaurant in Draguignan

We had lunch/dinner here a few times in a row, which we enjoyed.

However, yesterday late in the afternoon we wanted to have some drinks and a snack on the beach beds. The place was nearly empty and like I said we were going to spend money, not looking for special treatment. Also, again it was already late in the afternoon.

Still the waiter said we couldn't use the beds unless we paid 14 euro's each. We told him we only wanted to stay for a maximum of 2 hours and were going to order drinks and snacks. Still no.

So the conclusion is, you'd rather make no money at all? Fine. We left and won't come back the rest of our stay. Very disappointed. I understand if it's busy, you have rules but this doesn't make any sense since the restaurant also was nearly empty as is...

Tangerine is excellent - so much so we went there again for our last night out with our family - the service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble for asking for changes to their food (burgers without garnish / salad for the kids for example) - the atmosphere is perfect. Right by the beach we had some pre dinner drinks on the beach first - and the waitress asked if we’d like to speak French or English which is a first for us! Great place to sit and watch the Gulf of St Tropez especially when the fire works go off in St.Tropez harbour, food was pretty good, not amazing but you pay for what you get, service was very good and was surprised how many waiters and waitresses spoke and understood English.
