Been to over ten sites in the past and myself and my family agreed this was the best one we have been to overall.||Pros:||1) Staff attentiveness and friendliness - this was the standout for us, the bar, restaurant and reception had very friendly staff. Weâve been to quite a lot of sites and we usually find it a bit hit and miss with a lot of âdonât careâ type attitudes, but at Verdon Parc they were fantastic. Lifeguards were very on it, almost to the extreme but thatâs obviously not a bad thing!||2) The lagoon. It doesnât open until 12pm but if youâre there around that time, you usually donât have much trouble getting a bed/beanbag. It was a perfect location for our young children to play as the water isnât too deep and they can have fun with the sand. ||3) Snackbar - the pizza and burgers were superb. Easy to order, get given a beeper which goes off when the food is ready. Zero complaints!||4) Restaurant - itâs hard not to compare this to other on-site restaurants but we all found the food to be great quality, especially for the reasonable prices. I had the rack of lamb and would recommend you try it. ||5) Location - Beautiful area, with a (very cold) river running along side. You can walk down there via the camp site and have a paddle if youâre brave enough.||Cons:||Amount of toilets was the only thing we found to be subpar. Basically thereâs one block of toilets next to the pool (which is within a gated area so if you werenât by the pool, eg at the lagoon itâs a case of walking quite a long way out of the lagoon, across the snack bar area, shoes off through the pool gate and across to the far side) and a single cubicle inside the restaurant which was open in the evening. As you can imagine, in the evening with hundreds of people watching the entertainment, a single toilet isnât ideal so often opted to going back to the accommodation. Not great if youâre staying far from the bar area. This is literally the only point...

The staff can speak English if needed but it is not really generally spoken.|The site is large, very clean and tidy and dotted with lovely raised flower beds and planters all beautifully maintained. Reception is bright, airy, modern, friendly, helpful and efficient.|The pool area is fantastic with hundreds of sun beds (although you might have to wait for one to become free at peak times) and plenty of shade.|The outside restaurant (and takeaway service) and entertainment area were also good with entertainment of varying standards provided every evening in peak times.|What lets this site down a bit is the shop and bar area. The shop had a small fridge with butter and packaged ham and a few shelves with tinned goods and jars. No fresh meat, vegetables or salads, which given the size of the site was very surprising. Greoux is the typical and very charming town about 5 minutes drive away (15 minutes walk) where there is a good Spar shop and fantastic shops ie boulangerie, fromagerie, boucherie etc. Bread is delivered daily ( but you do need to order what you want the day before).|The bar serves itâs purpose but is well past itâs sell by date and would benefit by being knocked down and rebuilt.|If you want to go to France on holiday and be amongst other Brits, this is not for you. If you want to go to holiday in France and immerse yourself in the French way of life, book this place immediately.|It is...
Read moreWe arrived at the campsite a couple of days early (to escape the wet weather in the Alps). As a result we stayed in both the safari tent at the lodge with tropical shower and outside kitchen. ||The safari tent was very comfortable (and the kids rated it as the holidayâs best accommodation) and well appointed. Surprisingly cool overnight which was welcome as it was hot during the day. Beds really comfortable and we all slept really well. Was quite noisy at night as you are near the entertainment centre - mostly kids being noisy but just having fun - and it was very quiet before 11.30 so not a problem at all. ||Likewise the lodge was great with the garden area consisting of fine sand for the kids to play in. Really comfortable inside with the bedrooms a good size and allowing for good sleep. ||The site was lovely and the swimming pool area one of the best Iâve been to. The lagoon pool was clean and the kids loved it (aged 2 and 6). The other pools were never too busy even the height of the day. You could always get a sunlounger. ||The bar area was also excellent and felt like you were staying somewhere more plush than a campsite. Staff were friendly and spoke numerous languages. ||Only downside (and Iâm definitely being harsh) was that the play area was detached from the bar area etc. so we didnât really use it at all. That didnât matter as the evening entertainment was always good. ||Greoux Les Bains itself was a cute little town and worth a visit - although not a full day out. ||Would definitely...
