This quaint chalet in the old part of Alpe d'Huez is a delight. It is a short walk to the 'lobster pots' which takes you to the main DMC lift or add a short ski to this to get to a chair lift which takes you across town to get to the Le Berger area.||The chalet is small it was all a bit of a squeeze at dinner but in the depths of winter this could be called cosy. There was 14 of us in total.||The rooms are compact but adequate as in most ski rooms, there is a lack of hanging space, we were lucky we had 2 hooks and half a dozen shelves.||Our bathroom looked as though it was in a cave. The water pressure is good with plenty of hot water.||Our chalet hosts were wonderful Laura made great scrambled eggs for breakfast and Rhonda from Wales (sorry Rhona I had to mention it !) baked a mean cake which waited for us after a full days skiing.||The meals were tasty but why oh why cut the bread up into such small pieces especially at Breakfast, no space for butter and jam (which ran out on day 3). It was nearly the end of the season.||All in all a most enjoyable place to stay. What made it great was the other guests and our...
Read moreWe had an excellent week in Chalet Pregentil in January 2019. Our hosts, Grace and Lucy, were friendly and very efficient, with excellent cooking and bakery skills! We happened to be the only two people staying that week, so the facilities were fine - and very clean. There was a very fast WiFi connection. I think the chalet would be less comfortable with a large number of people, but we didn't experience this. ||The location is great - it's a quaint looking chalet in a back street of Vieil Alp (the old part of town, I think) and it is very handy for access to the skiing - maybe 5 minutes walk to the telécentre 'cage lift' up to the start of DMC, Signal and other lifts, and a slightly longer walk at the same level to the telécabine up to Bergers. It's easy to ski down to the start of these lifts at the end of the day. Highly...
Read moreThe pro’s |Chalet hosts were polite young man and girl that cooked fantastic 3 course meals and fresh cakes everyday.|Great location right near the yogurt pots for super easy access to the slopes.|Con’s|The chalet was far too small for the 13 people in it. There weren’t enough seats in the lounge for everyone to sit and the supper table was so cramped you couldn’t cut your meat for elbowing the person next to you. Not ideal when u don’t know everyone. |The worst part was the bedroom. Ours wasn’t exactly a bedroom - it had double glass door with hanging curtains. Clearly meant to be a lounge at some point so we had little privacy - the door and wall was extremely thin.|The bathroom was truly disgusting - The pictures describe it best. I kept my shoes on every time I went...
