Great hotel as long as you know what you're paying for. I had no issues with this place. I knew it was near a bar, so I brought ear plugs. I probably could have survived without, but my room was the closest to the bar and you could hear noise from it.
I knew it was no frills, but honestly I was impressed with what I got. Very clean and comfy room. The bathroom could do with a refresh, but it was by no means bad, and like I said, very clean. The shower was just a little awkward with the shower curtain, the layout made it quite a small space. A proper shower door would have made this fact better.
Breakfast was a nice continental offering with some nice pastries, cold meats, cereals and a few other snacks. The pastries were very good quality. No complaints at all. Then they offered an afternoon snack of various baked goods which changed every day and were also very nice.
Decent ski locker facilities located right below the building. The walk to the lifts was a little further than I'd like, but not many places in this area are super close to the slopes. It was maybe a 5-7 minute walk to the main area.
The staff were very pleasant and kept the place running well.
I'd definitely stay again. It's not 5 star, but then you're not paying for 5 star. Does very well...
Read moreOverall a great ski hotel, me and my daughter shared a twin room there for a weeks skiing and couldn't have been happier. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the hotel is cosy and alpine in feel, location is good and the self serve breakfast is great with lots of tasty, freshly made goodies. There is a cosy lounge and a small bar, the ski locker is downstairs under the hotel with ample sized lockers in a safe location. To get to the slopes is a 5 to 10 minute walk at most, the Valley Blanche side is up some fairly steep steps, easier is downhill to the Diable and Jandri lifts and the beginners slopes, the main drag with bars and restaurants is also the same 5 minutes walk. Rooms at the hotel are a little on the small side and you'll be living out of your case as there's no real storage to speak of, but beds are comfy, if not overly generous in size, and the house staff make sure the room is well tidied every day; some of the carpet in the entrance needs a refresh, but that'll only bother you if you're that way inclined, I'm not! Overall, well recommended in a good resort, I would...
Read moreWe recently stayed here over the UK February half term. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is very cosy. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, even booking restaurants for you if required (which was neccessary during such a busy week).
The breakfast was a buffet with a wide selection of cereals, with nuts, dried fruits etc to add to yourself as well as pastries, bread, jam as well as cold meats/cheeses and was all very good quality and kept stocked up by the staff.
The additional afternoon cake/snacks after getting back from skiing was a lovely added touch.
Location is also very good with only a short walk to the main Diable or Jandri lifts, ski school meeting points and all the bars/restaurants in L2A.
Very enjoyable stay and we would be happy to...
