The hotel is clean, has a great location and rooms are spacious. The ski lockers on the other side are small/tight and make it hard to get things in/out. There was a leak upstairs dripping into our bathroom which caused the bathroom to be wet all the time. We were on a half-board and the breakfast was simple but with solid choices. Not much variety but enough for a good breakfast before a long day skiing. Just wished they had fresh fruit. The dinner was an appalling experience. For Starters, there was a 20-30min wait, followed by over an hour for the Mains. Menu for the half-board is not great. You get a menu with just a handful of dishes to mix and match. All dishes were inconsistent in both, presentation and flavour. Main menu (regular menu) was never offered to the table. The bar is ok and cozy for a drink before dinner. The room next to the bar is nice and has a fair amount of boardgames. Great rooms and location, wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Breakfast is ok but try having dinner somewhere else.

I decided I wanted to go skiing this year so did a search on Booking.com. Hotel Base camp came up as an ideal hotel for a single person travelling. I stayed in the dormitory and emailed ahead to ask for a bottom bunk. The hotel was quick with its responses. The room was comfortable however due to some guests spreading out and placing personal items all over a bit messy. The rooms could do with some night lights these could be small leds under each bed marker as you will find yourself tripping over people personal effects. The sauna is a fantastic addition allowing you to stretch after a days skiing. It is in a perfect location to access the nearby lifts shops and bars. Staff are very friendly. I will be staying again. Thank you for a great stay.

Great brand new hotel with a really nice atmosphere, the working team is so so nice and helpful. My favorite was the bar where you can listen to good live music at night. We lived the meals especially the vegetarian pizza! Kids loved it!

Me and my fiancée along with another couple stayed here at Hotel Base Camp Lodge Les Deux Alpes from 24/12/22 - 01/01/23 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We stayed in a Mountain View room and were HALF BOARD so this meant we had breakfast and evening meal. ||We were a 15minute walk from the main Jandri lift but literally only a 2minute walk from the Diablo lift, the Diablo lift is 100% the best lift to use. No traffic of people , literally every morning 9am we would get straight on the lift at Diablo without hesitation and be ski-ing by 9:20am! The Diablo lift links the whole mountain together so my advice would be to use this lift on the doorstep and link the whole mountain together using the other lifts 😊||HOTEL - Clean , fresh and vibrant. Everything you need this hotel can offer. Easy access to the boot room via lift, stairs or a side door which gives you access from directly outside the hotel. |There’s a nice bar area and games room where you can relax and enjoy downtime in between hitting the mountains. |The reception area is always staffed and all your questions will be answered. You top up your lift passes from inside the hotel via a computer which is in reception there for you to use. ||BOOT ROOM - Small but very tidy and clean. Lockers were efficient and worked off your keycard automatically which was great. ||BEDROOMS - Spacious room with a lovely balcony overlooking the mountains. There was a lot of storage which was perfect as we were staying for 8 days and had lots of clothes and equipment. ||FOOD / HALF BOARD - |Breakfast - continental breakfast was on offer including croissants/ fruit / yogurts / breads / coffees and juices |Hot breakfast - bacon / eggs

The location of this hotel is great, which is why I was excited to stay here. However, offering only mixed-gender dormitories is very disappointing. As a woman, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, especially when the first thing I encountered upon entering the dormitory was a naked man.

It’s disappointing that there isn't an option for single-gender dormitories, as many women (myself included) would appreciate a more secure and respectful environment, particularly when traveling alone or on a budget. Offering single-gender dorms would make the hotel more inclusive, allowing women to enjoy affordable stays while also feeling safe and comfortable.

It’s crucial for accommodations to prioritize the safety and comfort of all guests, and I strongly believe this is an area where improvement is needed. I hope the hotel will reconsider its approach and offer better alternatives for women in the future. This shouldn’t be too difficult considering the hotel has 2 separate...
