From start to finish we had a wonderful ski trip!|We were a group of 10 with a young child and nothing was ever to much trouble.||Room: We stayed in a newly renovated cosy room with a balcony overlooking the slopes. The room was compact but absolutely perfect for what we needed the rooms were cosy and warm, lots of wardrobe space and storage and the most amazing walk in shower. Others in the group had the comfort rooms and a suite and we're all very pleased.||Food/Drinks: We were half board and the food was incredible, every evening was different and included 4 courses starter, main, cheese course and dessert. If you want an alternative just let them no in the morning and it's never to much trouble they are very accommodating. You keep the same table throughout your stay and John Michelle was exceptional as our waiter. The cosy bar by the fire is gorgeous after a long day on the slopes. The bar staff are very busy with both outdoor terrace and indoor dining during the day and you'd often have a long wait for drinks if sat within the hotel. I do feel they should have someone designated for hotel guests in the bar area and come around and ask if you'd like a drink when sat there in the evenings as we'd often have to find someone to ask. ||Location: PERFECT! A ski in ski out hotel with lockers in the lower ground floor of the hotel. Your on the slopes in minutes and right next to the magic carpet and button lifts. To get into the town is only a few minutes walk with lots of bars and restaurants. The location couldn't be any better. We often visited the Polar Bear pub a 2 minute walk after dinner for a drink. ||We would definitely return to this hotel the food was some of the best we've had in a hotel and was perfect after a long day on the slopes. An hour in the jacuzzi was lovely as well and you can reserve a time with reception. ||Definitely should be more...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at Hotel Les Mélèzes for our skiing trip and we had an absolutely wonderful experience.||We stayed in a standard room which was warm, with a large bed and modern bathroom.||We also had half-board dining plan, and the dinner was exceptional. We had a four course meal every night (including a cheese course). This was from a set menu, but the chefs were very accommodating of any changes we wanted to make due to preferences or allergies. However, everything I ate, including things I would never personally order at other restaurants given the choice, was delicious. The breakfast was more limited and the same every day, but was still great.|The bar area was super cozy with a fire in the evenings and a lovely place to relax before and after dinner with decently priced drinks. |Guests can use the jacuzzi and sauna but they can only be booked in advance in 30 min times slots from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. We managed to use them twice during our stay and it was great as we had the whole space to ourselves, but it would've been nice to be able to use it more if the slots were less limited.||We want to say an extra special thank you to the absolutely amazing staff who were so friendly and accommodating despite being rushed off their feet! The chef came out to talk to us personally a few times during dinner which was lovely and all the waiters, bar staff and receptionists were great and made our holiday even better!||We would love to come stay again and would recommend for skiiers as it is super close to the Vikings magic carpet as well as the...
Read moreWe has such a pleasant stay at Les Mélèzes in Les 2 Alpes. where we stayed nine days. First of all the location of the hotel is perfect given the fact that you have a ski lift just a few meters away from the entrance of the Hotel. Thereafter you can slide down and reach "Le Jandry which will take you all the way to "The Glacier" or you could ski down to another lift that will bring you up "Les Diables" and access to a large number of other slopes or the Jandry (2nd stage). The (superior) room was very pleasant. Cleaning could'nt have been better. All staff members were great, especailly the ladies at the reception desk. Vanessa is a treat (what a smile, always full of attention). There is a parking for guests on the Hotel side. Many shops and restaurants close by, however the food at Les Mélèzes was so good that we chose to have half board thus we were delighted to have all our evening at their restaurant. Once a week you can chose to have a "Fondue Savoyarde" or a "Fondue Bourguigonnne" or a "Raclette". Twice a week you will end up your meal with a gorgeous dessert buffet. Oh dear, we really enjoyed those evenings :-). There is also a sauna plus a Jacouzzi you can book (25 min) and a closet downstairs to store your skis and ski boots at night (kept warm). PS: The Hotel is located close to the road, thus you may hear a bit of traffic, however it does not last long (usually quite at...
