There is only one reason you want to stay here: you want your belongings to be stolen. I stayed there for one night a few months ago. After checking out we asked if we could leave our bag at the hotel, since our train was late in the afternoon. They said yes and told us where to put the bag: in a corner of the lobby, no door or locks to protect it. But we thought it was alright and that the hotel personnel would sit in the lobby. Well, it was not the case. They basically leave for hours in the afternoon, leaving your belongings unattended. Which means that anybody can come in and steal them, like it happened to us. There's a camera and, after the theft, they told us someone came and took it, as simple as that. LAST BUT NOT LEAST: you would think the hotel manager would do something for you after what happened. Not only didn't he do a thing, he was even extremely rude to us! When he came he didn't even bother to say hello or introduce himself. He did not apologise for what had happened, he did not get us anything complimentary to make up for our loss. Just to precise it once again: the theft happened because of the staff/hotel negligent behaviour. Only the bag itself, which was brand new, was worth it more than the hotel rate for the night I spent there! Plus all the other items, reflex battery charger, fine garments, etc. 3 days after the theft, the manager wrote the usual copy-paste email saying he was sorry. And this is the end of the story. Comfort Hotel its good located property in heart of Le Havre with 10 min walking distance to main beach, restaurants,shops and gas station.||You can put your car opposite hotel on the meter for 6 euro a day which its good deal for whole day I think.||There was no problem with late check in and staff was very helpful for all our stay. Points positifs : l’hôtel est très bien situé, les visites essentielles sont à proximité ainsi que la plage. Le petit déjeuner est bien, mais la salle est très petite. Le personnel est accueillant. La salle de bain : fonctionnelle, carrelage fait récemment, serviettes épaisses, chauffage fonctionnel, de la place pour le rangement des trousses de toilette, plomberie OK. Dans la chambre, plusieurs rangements. Literie correcte, mais des oreillers beaucoup trop minces (on en obtient un second sans difficulté auprès du personnel). Néanmoins, plusieurs désagréments qui expliquent notre note de 3 : pas d’ascenseur, même si deux étages ce n’est pas très haut, l’établissement devrait expliquer sur le site qu’il n’est pas conseillé pour les personnes à handicap. Très gênant également, le fait qu’il n’y ait pas de rideaux aux fenêtres : il y a des appartements juste en face (chambre 210), si l’on veut conserver un peu d’intimité on est obligé demettre les rideaux occultants, lesquels d’ailleurs ne sont occultants que très moyennement. Comme il n’y a pas de luminosité on est obligés d’allumer en permanence ce qui consomme inutilement de l’électricité, pas très écologique. De plus les lampes ne sont pas très puissantes et donc on est toujours dans une semi- pénombre. Le coffre de la chambre est totalement inutilisable, il n’a pas de piles. Après l’avoir indiqué à l’accueil il nous a été répondu que très peu de gens utilisaient ces coffres, mais qu’on pouvait éventuellement nous changer de chambre, ce que nous avons décliné. Concernant la salle de bain, le carrelage est beau et très récent, mais la porte quant à elle est en très mauvais état, avec de la peinture écaillée et donne une impression déplorable (voir photo). De même .au niveau d’un des murs de la chambre, pas très esthétique (revêtement gondolé). Pas de table de chevet, mais une toute petite tablette ridicule de 22 cm sur 22 cm. Enfin, l’isolation phonique de chambre à chambre est très moyenne, ainsi qu’avec l’extérieur (double vitrage mais ça reste bruyant). Il est dommage que dans un trois-étoiles on constate de tels désordres. Il suffirait de peu pour que l’établissement tienne ses promesses de niveau 3*, dommage.
