Résidence Appartement Adonis — Hotel in Nice

The property is located right in a main square of Nice, surrounded by shops, cafes and movement. We loved the view when we got up top! The building is old but has a lift. We were given several keys to get us in the apartment as there is several security steps to get in. We are also thankful for the staff having let us check in early and also check out earlier without having to leave the deposit money for the keys. Anyway, the apartment felt really old but well kept despite tiny. There were enough towels and a carpet for a shower. There were 2 cups, soap and gel for us to use which was very nice. There were also brooms and other cleaning tools. The kitchen had a microwave, some storage, some utensils, mugs cookware, a fridge, a water boiler and a hob. No oven. The bed was very comfortable wit nice big pillows a soft headboard to lean if sitting. There is also a table and 2 comfortable chairs. The view was amazing from the small balcony. The windows were quite thick and did block a good part of the sound overnight and we managed to completely block all the light too. All in all if you’re not looking for fancy cooking you should be fine there for a few days or so. We disliked the noise overnight. Not much to be done, it’s a central areas and despite good windows you could hear some noises. But the worst part was the fridge noise overnight, right at your ears. There’s no fan for cooking so you’ll have to be careful with what you cook or else the apartment can smell. There was a faint bad smell from the toilet despite it being clean. Horrifying bed bug infestation — completely ruined our trip

When we first arrived, the room seemed clean and nice. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.

First, the bathroom flooded. But that was nothing compared to what came next — a full-blown bed bug infestation. We found bed bugs of all sizes crawling on the pillows, mattress, and even on the ceiling and in the bathroom. It was a complete ecosystem — some bugs were large and full of blood when killed, which was absolutely disgusting.

We moved the bed to the center of the room hoping to escape them, but they kept appearing on the bed. It was impossible to rest or feel safe. Even worse, bed bugs are extremely difficult to get rid of and can easily spread — they are tiny and can hide in clothing, luggage, and personal items without being noticed. Once you bring them home, it can take months and hundreds of euros to eliminate them completely.

Because of this, we were forced to cut our stay short, wash and dry all of our clothes at high temperatures, and take extra precautions to avoid bringing these pests back with us. This not only cost us money and time, but it also seriously impacted our travel experience.

Despite all of this, the hotel refused to offer a full refund. We believe we absolutely deserve a full refund due to the unacceptable hygiene conditions and the significant stress, risk, and inconvenience caused by the infestation.

Reading the reviews what the worst thing i did (everyone has their own opinion) I booked this place for my husband‘s birthday trip,and as soon as i saw the reviews i rushed to booked other hotels just in case.But boy was i wrong it came with all the equipments that even at some “good rated” hotels dont have like iron for clothes,hajr dryer etc etc.The bed was not infested at all with bed bugs it was clean sheets and smelled like detergent,towels were clear 2face towels 2body towels and one small towel at your douche cabin so you dont step on the floor with wet feet.I saw maybe like 2-3 bugs but not alive they were crashed but it doesn’t bother since they were at the door.It had a TV and you could close the blinds and open the window.The building had an elevator so it was easy to carry our luggages.The deposit for the keys was 30€ but when we checked out they gave all of 30€ to us.And even if you wanted to cook you had everything that you need,for keeping drinks cold or food you had an good size fridge.This is 100% my truth experience I really liked this place.The location was fenomenal everything is near you can go to grab everything you need at any hour and the beach was near so you didn’t need to carry a lot of stuff or take a train or bus .In my own experience i would recommend this apartment and i will...
