STAY HERE!! so, that's the first thing I want to address. This hotel is not only French chic but it is in THE BEST location. If you are someone like me who likes to experience life off the super tourist footpath, this is your hotel! But the beauty is! Literally across the street is the 4 metro and not even a five minute (two block walk) is the metro 6 and RER. With that being said, I only had to take ONE train to get to EVERY major Paris icon, (The Arc, The Tower, Notre Dame, Seine river, and many more!) Now, the hotel itself...this cute, cozy, intimate, low key hotel is definitely a must stay!! I was placed in room 604 which was facing the side street and had a personal balcony that overlooked the community as well as a nice city view! The lift (elevator) for a person like me who is (140lbs) I was very uncomfortable because it was way too small! (See pictures) so I only got on the lift check in and check out day, I took the stairs the five days I was there (it was taxing but I managed). Once I got into my room, it was noticeably tiny in comparison to rooms I've been in, probably the smallest I've ever been in but! Small in an adorable way, not small that you cannot maneuver. The bathroom is also very tiny so I felt cramped between the wall and the shower when it came to use the toilet. If you are a larger/wider person, you may want to consider if they have a suite in the hops the bathrooms are bigger. I only say that because again, using the toilet was cramped. There was a closet to place my items but due to lack of space, I kept most items in the luggage and hung a few dresses. If you travel with more than one bag, there won't be much room left in your room to walk around so pack light or again, request a suite for more space. Shower water was nice and hot but I was not a huge fan of the shower nozzle only because it was awkward to use and the only other option was the rain fall type and I don't care for those. Also, place a towel by the door because the door is not secure and the floor will be wet. Other than that, it was a standard bathroom. The rooms were quiet for the most part, didn't hear my neighbors much but it was very noisy when it was check out time and the staff started to clean, lots of banging and dragging of items, so room was solid, doors not so much. The staff was very helpful and friendly for this American who knew little to none of the language, I did make my attempts to speak French. I did not partake in breakfast because I was not awake during those hours but the pleasant smell definitely came up to the sixth floor so I'm sure it was tasty! This hotel is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shopping! So you cannot go wrong in either direction you walk! If you are going to the Accor arena, the metro will take you right there!! So, definitely FIVE stars!! Just...
Read moreBooked this as bed and breakfast. Unfortunately, I have to significantly down grade as the bed was awful. We booked a family room as travelling with 5 year old and 9 year old. One bed had a lovely mattress the second was a pull out sofa with broken foot end. This was uplifted by sofa cushions. It was squeaky and wobbly, generally felt unsafe. My husband slept on it and I shared the other bed with the children. My husbands feet were lower than the rest of him. This meant poor sleep for all of us. This affected all of our mood during the trip. We raised the bed situation twice and staff showed no concern. They clearly knew already. We also had raising damp patches after a shower. Again raised it and told someone would look at it bit I don't believe they did. Avoid room 107. ||It was a real shame because otherwise the hotel was good. The room had WiFi, flat screen TV, shower gel and body lotion, hair dryer and coffee machine. No kettle or iron. ||Spiral stair case and working lift. Red black and white paris theme.||Great location. Street Hotel is on has a good range of restaurants, lush, clothing shops, chocolate shops. Metro opposite and just a block up. We were able to visit all over Paris jncluding disney land, palace of versaille, Eiffel tower, notre dame, parc de villette and Charles de gualle airport. ||Breakfast included: boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages, pancake, chocolate du pain, croissants, corn flakes, coco pops, fresh fruit and fresh juice, yoghurts and coffee. We ate well. ||It is a shame we have had to down grade the hotel. We can usually make do where ever we end up but this was particularly poor especially of a hotel chain. Hotel needs to remove this as a bed option or replace it. We will not be returning or...
