Ah, my journey through the eerie catacombs led me to this intriguing little shop, my final stop before bidding adieu to the underworld. It was like stepping into a time capsule filled with reminders of my underground adventure, ensuring that the memory of the catacombs would linger long after I emerged into the daylight above.
With shelves stocked full of curiosities and trinkets that whispered tales of bones and history, I couldn't resist picking up a few souvenirs to share the experience with friends back home. After all, nothing says "thinking of you" like a bone-shaped keychain or a skull-themed mug, right? It's the kind of quirky memorabilia that's sure to spark conversation and maybe even a few shivers!
So here's to the catacombs, and to this charming little shop that sealed the memories of my underground escapade with a touch of whimsy and a dash of macabre. Until next time, adieu, catacombs – you've left an impression that's as deep as the tunnels...
Read moreIt's a nice place with important historical elements to it but not very navigable and not rich in terms of content. Skulls and skeletons are neatly arranged and the audio guide available in a limited set of languages does offer a nice insight into the quirks of this tunnel network; it took us about 40 minutes from entry till exit.

Also if you're tall like me (6'2" or 189cms), you might have to bend a lot while walking forward, which is not exactly convenient but there's little that they can do about it without damaging the stability of the entire structure.
In short, it's a well-preserved section of network of tunnels where limestone quarries operated previously and where skeletal remains were transferred from the graves of various cemeteries within the Paris region in order to safeguard against the toxicity resulting out of decaying...
Read moreThis review is of the Paris Catacombs shop (the Catacombs themselves are incredible and well worth a visit and my photos are of the Catacombs, not the shop). The shop is fairly small, but stocked with some amazing items, including a wide selection of books, tshirts, umbrellas, bags, games, ceramics, drinking vessels and so many other catacombs/skulls/bones related items I can't actually recall all of them. It's nicely laid out and very modern and the staff are lovely. Some of the items are a little pricey, but some are so unique and all are so nicely produced that they're worth it. At the entrance, just inside the shop, there's a shaft down which one can see into the Catacombs, which certainly adds to the interest. I love a good museum shop and this was one of...
