Les Jardins Contini — Restaurant in Paris

It wasn't terrible, just not definitely not for me. It's designed a little fancy, but they seem to act as though it's a more formal and high-class than it really is. When we got there, our cutlury was dirty. It looked like it had been washed, but the handles and napkins were covered in some sort of spilt sauce! The wait staff was rude, ignored us half the time and acted as though we didn't belong there, even though we were paying good money. They also shoved us into a corner and didn't allow us to sit in any of the other empty seats even though there were no reservations for that spot. Seemed as though they served the smallest amount of food that they could get away with per dish. Luckily they had washrooms, but that was really the only part I was happy about....

I asked a server (she may even had been a manager) for olive oil for the bread and she told me no, they don't have any. I was looking directly at bottles of olive oil on a shelf. My friend smashed her finger in the bathroom door (not the restaurant's fault) and I went to ask for ice. The same woman saw me as I walked up to her and she turned and walked away. I tried to get the attention of a male worker that was standing a foot away from me and he was obviously trying to ignore me. I politely asked if he spoke English and he said, "No English" and turned his back on me and walked away. I couldn't even believe it as these were my only interactions with staff and didn't deserve...

I am a big fan of Italian food, having lived there for many years. I followed the good reviews but was very disappointed. First of all, if you don’t know how to write in Italian, get you menu checked by a native ! I had saltimbocca, it was way too salty and the sauce was not the authentic one... and it was served with spaghetti 😱 Then I got an amarena ice cream and it was way too sweet. My friends got pasta and it was ok and a tiramisu which didn’t attract me even though it looked home made. There were several regular customers so it must be ok for people who don’t know the true Italian cuisine. None of the staff...
