Excellent hostel, super happy I chose to stay here as a solo traveller. I stayed in a 10bed female dorm, the room was very large and had 2 showers (sinks outside the bathrooms). The building was very modern/newly renovated, bathrooms were always very clean and also probably the best water pressure I've ever had in a hostel. There is no elevator but they made that clear online; I was on the first floor and travel light anyway so it wasn't an issue.
All the staff were lovely! Each bed has a blockout/privacy curtain, a light and a power outlet. The pillow was hands down the best pillow I've ever slept on in a hostel - firm and high enough (in every other hostel they're usually so flat I have to fold them in half, and even then they're still terrible to sleep on). Beds were comfortable, luggage storage available under the beds (though this isn't lockable - there are small lockers in the room for valuables). There was a clothing rack in the room with coat hangers to hang your things. Bar/coffee and tables to hang out available downstairs, both indoors and outdoors (smoking area if you partake).
Location in the 11th is great, close to the metro and bus lines (I used the 96 a lot). Easy and quick to travel into the centre of Paris. Many places to eat and drink nearby. I never felt unsafe walking around here at night.
They offer luggage storage before/after check in/out, though you do have to pay. They offer breakfast but I didn't purchase this. The only thing I would've liked to have had was a little shelf for each bed so my phone wasn't resting on my mattress overnight.
It doesn't have a super social or party vibe if that's what you're looking for. It was perfect for me who enjoys a chill vibe sometimes when travelling. I would stay here again if I...
Read moreThe first few days were fine. But on the night of the 27th, around 1 AM, I needed to join a conference call and brought my laptop to the reception area. A man was there — rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. He told me the reception was closed and I couldn’t stay there. I explained I had a work call and asked where I could go. His answer? “Do it in your room.” I told him people were sleeping in my room. He didn’t care.||I asked if I could step outside the hotel to take the call. He opened the door and told me to go out — but the door locks from inside, and I wasn’t sure he’d let me back in. It was dark and unsafe, so I stayed. I then asked if I could sit on the stairs near the rooms. He snapped, demanded my room key, and told me to leave the hotel early in the morning. I was stunned.||I went up to the third floor, hoping maybe there was a rooftop space. I walked up to the fifth floor and came back down to sit quietly on the stairs. He followed me and again ordered me to go back to my room — like I was breaking some law. It felt like a prison.||I ended up crouching on the cold bathroom floor in my room to finish my Zoom meeting. My hands were shaking from stress and anger, but I had no choice. I had paid for breakfast, but was forced to leave early and couldn’t even eat.||This was one of the most humiliating and hostile experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel. No shared space available at night, no flexibility, no empathy. Being chased around the building like a criminal for trying to work quietly is outrageous.||I don’t know if the owner is aware of this behavior, but they should be. Guests deserve respect — not intimidation. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to think twice...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Fraternity-Hotel during my recent trip to Paris, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Here’s why:
Prime Location: The hotel is conveniently situated near a metro station and close to a vibrant area, making it incredibly easy to explore the city.
Outstanding Staff: The staff are, without a doubt, the most kind, polite, and friendly I have ever encountered in all my travels. Their warm smiles and genuine care made me feel completely at home. They treat guests more like friends, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
Modern and Clean Environment: The hotel boasts a modern design with tasteful decor and impeccable cleanliness throughout.
Incredible Rooms: The room I stayed in was a fantastic surprise. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a super comfortable mattress. The bathroom was sleek and modern, and the internet connection was reliable. All of this came at a price comparable to a hostel bed, offering incredible value for money.
Thoughtful Amenities: The hotel staff went above and beyond by allowing me a late checkout at 4 PM due to my late flight, which was an immensely helpful gesture.
In summary, my stay at Fraternity-Hotel was the best experience I’ve ever had in Paris—and I’ve been a frequent visitor to this beautiful city. From now on, I won’t consider any other option when staying in Paris.
Thank you, Fraternity-Hotel, for making my stay truly unforgettable!
Highly...
