Brit Hotel Confort Pau Lons — Hotel in Pau

L’hotel Brit, 88 Boulevard Charles de Gaulle/ , Lons: We lived here for over a week and wondered why we were itching. The place is infested with parasites (bed-bugs). We reported this after the local medical doctor diagnosed the bite marks and the Public Health came to sort the problem out. We had to have ALL our clothing and possessions disinfected, boil-washed/fumigated. Other patrons reported the same afflictions, as we thought it responsible to warn them and in doing so they told us of their discomfort and concerns including other issues with the hotel. They too had to have all their possessions removed and deloused! We were moved to a clean hotel away from the Brit and it has taken several days for our clothing to be returned and a further two days to get our shoes, luggage, etc returned... well almost all returned! We were given cleaned charity clothing to wear thank goodness however I would rather not have spent the interim days in a pair of exceptionally large Panama’s that needed string to keep the trousers up... and no footwear! The manager accused us and others of bringing the parasites with us in our luggage! Apparently from staff there, who discretely informed us that the hotel uses poisons to bleach harmful spores from the bathroom ceilings and walls, bedroom walls, and has used insecticides to secretly (but ineffectively!) treat the mattresses. The rules of use of these chlorine based poisons are supposed to render the respective area unusable for at least 24 hours but guests reported the manager used them whilst they were actually in the room. I counted seven rooms that guests related to me that were infested. It seems that as it’s a fast turn over cheap hotel that they stay infested! Who’s to complain if they start itching and then leave the next day!? Avoid this place like the (parasitic) plague(it contains). Irresponsible manager that blames his incompetence on the hotel guests!

L’hôtel Brit, Lons and it’s manager has refused to compensate any guests for his irresponsibility and neglect. This is a serious health risk and he has continually covered it up.

Mi estancia en este hotel ha sido negativa.No recomiendo este hotel ,primero por su limpieza.Esta sucio,la mampara del baño llevaban tiempo sin tocarla,se apreciaba la suciedad nada más entrar en el baño,los edredones con rotos y viejos,un olor pesado desde las escaleras hasta dentro de las habitaciónes,encontré hasta un insecto seco en el suelo.El armario "empotrado"sin puerta,hasta las tulipas estaban en mal estado.Muy poca luz dentro de la habitación,habitaciones muy pequeñas,baño estrecho,el wifi en realidad no funciona y ruido constante,muy dificil conciliar el sueño.Esta dispuesto en un Poligono Industrial.

Cogimos una estancia de 5 dias,pero despúes de 1 noche,por los motivos arriba mencionados nos tuvimos que ir.El dueño del hotel una persona prepotente,intentamos modificar nuestra estancia y no ha habido forma humana de llegar con él a un acuerdo.Nos cobró estancia de 5 dias ,aunque en realidad las habitaciones estuvieron ocupadas una sola noche.Los de Booking intentaron hablar con él para llegar a un acuerdo,pero tampoco lo consiguieron.No recomiendo este sitio ,de verdad,de ningún punto de vista,estamos muy disgustados,ya que hicimos casi 700kilometros para 1 noche,y este señor nos robó literalmente ,nuestro dinero,nuestras vacaciones..

Mon séjour dans cet hôtel a été négatif. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, d'abord par sa propreté. Il est sale, le paravent du bain ils prenaient du temps sans la toucher, la saleté était appréciée peu après être entré dans le bain, les couettes avec brisés et vieux, une odeur pesée depuis les escaliers même dans les habitaciónes, j'ai trouvé même un insecte sec dans le sol. L'armoire "encastrée" sans porte, même les tulipas étaient dans un mauvais état. Très peu de lumière dans la pièce, de très petites pièces, un bain étroit, le wifi ne fonctionne pas en réalité et un bruit constant, très difficile conciliaire le sommeil. Il est disposé dans une Zone industrielle.

Nous avons pris un séjour de 5 jours, mais après 1 nuit, pour les motifs là-haut mentionnés nous avons eu à partir. Le propriétaire de l'hôtel une personne tout-puissante, nous essayons de modifier notre séjour et il n'y a pas eu une forme humaine d'arriver avec lui à un accord. Un séjour de 5 jours nous a touchés, bien qu'en réalité les pièces fussent occupées une seule nuit. Ceux de Booking ont essayé parler à lui pour parvenir à un accord, mais ils ne l'ont pas obtenu non plus. Je ne recommande pas cet endroit, vraiment, d'aucun point de vue, nous sommes très fâchés, puisque nous avons fait presque 700kilometros pour 1 nuit, et ce monsieur nous a littéralement volés, notre argent,...

Well priced, easy accessible, Quiet & relaxing Hotel for an overnight stay or break while transiting through the Pau region if one wants to avoid the Pau city centre buzz & traffic hassles, plenty free & easy Parking, Car/Motorbike washing station next door, friendly Manager and Staff, reasonable breaky, good WiFi, Rooms are due for a makeover happening in the next 12 months so it could get disruptive or noisy during renovations ? Heaps of great Buffet places within walking distance, ask at the reception for a good deal, "Le Tajinier" Moroccan buffet a short drive away is definitely worth a try for amateur of North African food, I will stay there again while motorbiking in...
