With 15 years of travel experience across the globe, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. I planned to celebrate my birthday in Paris and booked the Tribe Paris Saint Ouen hotel through the Booking app but they cancelleld my paid reservation.
Three weeks before my stay, I received a message directly on the Booking APP from the hotel, stating that I needed to pay immediately due to a change in their policy or my reservation would be canceled. I paid 300 euros.
Shortly after, I discovered that either Booking or the hotel had been hacked, and the money I sent went directly to scammers. My bank refused to issue a refund, and for three weeks, both Booking and the hotel either ignored my inquiries or directed me to each other, refusing to take responsibility for resolving the issue. The hotel even confirmed that my reservation was still active, reassuring me that there was no problem since everything was "already paid. The hotel confermed a few times that 100000% my reservation is valid.
To make matters worse, I received another scam message supposedly from the hotel the very next day—again, through the Booking app.
However, a day before my flight I called the hotel directly and received a confirmation of my booking. Few hours later the hotel just cancelled my reservation, sent me a message and advised me to contact Booking, which was still unresponsive. So now, I'll be celebrating my birthday in a different hotel.
I strongly do not recommend Tribe Paris Saint Ouen. They clearly don’t stand on the side of their clients and are unwilling to take responsibility for errors, including breaches of their own systems, which seem to have been poorly managed.

Read moreThe location was very convenient near the metro station and only 20 minutes to the center. The Fanprix supermarket is also very close. At night the neighborhood seems moderately safe. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is very good. However, the hotel lacks good management and trained staff. First time, I checked in the hotel, a lady greet me and without even talk, she try to restart the credit card machine (which is no need because it was fully paid), after quickly finding my name, give only 1 key to the room (it should be two keys commonly for double room, I would assume it could be provided if I ask but I didn't/shouldn't), then the conversation ends. Commonly, a trained staff should introduce the amenities such as bar hours, breakfast location/time (included to my booking) and elevator. After staying a lot of hotels in this and higher tier, I assume it is custom to receive broef introduction (needs training). Secondly, the refrigerator in the room was broken and no cooling, I let the reception know (a better trained one at the evening) and they offer to fix it tomorrow, I said I don't need anymore and just let them know. In the bathroom, the shower gel container was empty (or damaged) while cannot get any shower gel, it was leaking to the bottom. Other parts was clean and taken care of. The breakfast was super ordinary and very few cheese/mest selection (I don't think it worths it). Overall, I would give 3.5 with clean spacious rooms and location while I wasn't fully satisfied with the room and reception service. If the price is reasonable range, I would stay again. Read moreI so much loved everything in this place down to the room service girls who are super friendly and all the food and lot more, but there was 1 thing I didn't like ,when I was there last month, it's the way a customer talked to 1 of the girls cleaning the room , and I will like to ask the director to always tell the customers that if thy don't need someone to clean the room put a notice that the door ,if u need them to clean also, also put a notice for them at the door ,because I see no reason why you won't put any notice and yet complain why she open the door when you were supposed to check out 1hour ago only for you to insult the girl for barging on your privacy, it so not right at all, and it super uncalled for ,the girl was crying from all those insult rain on her ,we all are humans amd not because she is working less down you ,then you will have to look down on others ,she left the comfort of her home to make a living and yet instead of praises to be given it an insult, please director talk to your customers . Apart from this that I mentioned now , the hotel was super great, and I loved my stay and would love to come again, ❤️ Thanks a lot...
