I spent 2 weeks of holidays in the Pinarello residence in August 2018 with my wife and my 2 kids. It was our second stay there and the first time ever in our lifes we returned to the same place, because we had very good memories from a first stay there in June 2015. Our good memories were confirmed, as we spent again two fantastic weeks there.||Our appartment had 2 sleeping rooms, one with a comfortable double bed for us and one with a bunk bed for our kids. There is another sleeping possibility in the living room on a convertible sofa-bed.||Overall, the appartment is very clean, in a very good state and very well equipped. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine (Siemens), a dish washer (Siemens), a Nespresso and a Senseo coffee machine, an induction cooker (Siemens), an oven (Siemens), a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle etc. Everything is very modern, well maintained and clean. All kinds of kitchen utensils are available and the cutlery, porcelaine and different varieties of glasses are complete and in a good state.||One sleeping room has A/C, the other rooms (2nd sleeping room, kitchen and living room) share another A/C.||The living room is not so big, but big enough for summer holidays, as you spend most of your time outside on the terrace. It has a Netflix TV, DVD player, a (not so comfy) sofa-bed. It also serves as dining room, there is a small table with 4 comfortable chairs.||On request, we received a high chair for our 2-years old daugther.||The bathroom is of an okay size, with a big and nice shower. No bathtub.||The best of the appartment is the big terrace with another big dining table and 6 chairs. There is a great gas barbecue, which we used quite frequently.||Further, there is a nice whirlpool and two sun lounger.||WIFI is free of charge, fast and reliable.||Through stairs, the appartment is connected to a nice and clean swimming pool, which is shared for all 5 appartments. There are plenty of sun longers around, as well as different kinds of pool toys for the kids. You can also find there a small gym, a sauna and a hammam.||Parking space is available for all guests of the residence.||The contact with the owners was always very pleasant and uncomplicated, from the time of booking until departure.||The appartment is located near to the centre of Pinarello, plenty of restaurants are located at a 15 minutes walk. Just outside of the residence is located a fruit and vegetables shop, where you can also buy bakery products, Corsican specialities and some basic household goods. The next supermarket is located at a 10 minutes drive in Ste. Lucie and the big supermarkets are located in Porto Vecchio.||The beach side (Pinarello is known for its beautiful beach) is a 20 minutes walk from the appartment. Nevertheless, even during high season, you should always be able to find a parking spot near to the beach.||Overall, I would recommend this residence to everybody, couples and families. If there is one point I would point out to be improved, it would be the lack of an insect screen between the living room and the terrace. And eventually the replacement of the sofa-bed, which is not so comfortable to sit on. But these are just details, in a nearly...
Read moreExtraordinarily friendly and accommodating staff. Clean well kept rooms. We had a room over the beach with a beautiful view of the sand and water which can be enjoyed from bed or from the attached private outdoor deck. The hotel itself is located in Pinarello, a quaint single road village with 3 or 4 restaurants, a bakery and gift shop. The village was very safe and everyone was quite pleasant. If you’re looking for more to do by way of shopping and dining the larger, more touristy town of Port Vecchio is only about a 20 minute drive away.
Other things to do in the area:
Tourra di Fautea/Plage di Fautea (about 10 mins away) which is a cool tower accessible by a walking trail and a nice remote beach.
Country Horse (about 10 mins away): Go for a scenic guided horseback ride which takes you through the country side and on the beach.
Plage de Palombaggia (about 40 min drive away): Gorgeous, must-see beach. Worth the drive.
Bonifacio: Medieval town with cobble stone streets and lots of nice cafes and shops. Also can walk the Staircase of the King Aragon which is about 200 steps down from the town down to the sea. Once at the bottom you can walk along the path of the cliffs overlooking the turquoise sea.
The Bavella Needles (about 40 mins to base of mountain): Beautiful drive up Corsica Mountain. With the mountain pass to your one side and the forest to the other, this part of the mountain offers gorgeous panoramas. There are also plenty of places to get...
Read moreThe hotel was all that myself and my wife had hoped for: beautiful location in a peaceful area, easy access to a nice beach, with some good dining options close by. The hotel is not too large, nicely designed and laid out. Our room, Suite C, was a good size, with simple, tasteful decoration. The bathroom luxurious with a very good bath and shower. The room was on beach level with a spacious balcony overlooking the beach with wide views across the bay. The only slight negative for us was the number of pleasure boats moored 100m from the beach, which gave this part of the bay a slight feel of ‘marina’ about it. Saying that, it did not detract much from the immaculate, beautifully kept beach, with crystal clear, calm water which was great for snorkelling - l had a wonderful encounter with an octopus, but that is another story, l just hope he didn’t end up as catch of the day!|I think above all, what makes this hotel such a pleasure, is the staff: the reception staff, the waiters, all the room staff, were all so lovely; warm and welcoming, cheerful, kind and thoughtful; they all seemed like a very professional and happy team and helped to make our stay so enjoyable!|Thank you to all at Hotel...
