We are Diamond HHonors members, and at times it is difficult finding Hilton properties in France, as there are so few properties there.||That said this is one of the better Hilton hotels in France.||This was our second stay, and the issue we had previously on the first stay was still there, in that the room was too warm for sleeping for us. Even with the AC on cool, the room was 22C to 23C. Yes we do have our own thermometer :o) Without being able to open windows, that for us is too warm.||We opted for a family sized room, which is split down the middle with partial wall. There are two TVs, but you couldn't practically watch both at the same time, as you'd have two competing sources of sound.||Whilst we were a family of four, two adults, and two children, there were only enough toiletries for two people. Not a major problem as we walked to a nearby Monoprix and bought more products.||There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, but only one caffeinated pod, the other being decaf. Myself and my Wife both like a coffee when we wake up, so having a few more pods would've been nice.||Final niggle was the matter of no sink in the toilet. It seems to be a French thing, and really seems unsanitary. but I appreciate that they built the hotel that way. I've never come across this in any other country.||Saying that the room was clean, and well presented.||So that's the slight negatives out of the way. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. We stayed on Valentines Day, and we had a nice glass of wine in the restaurant, before taking a walk to the nearby Place Plumereau, a picturesque square surrounded by medieval buildings.||Staff were all very friendly.||Breakfast for a French hotel was very good. Usually it's carb fest of bread, cakes, and cereal. Here was we had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, even baked beans, which was all a pleasant surprise.||Parking could be an issue. On our previous stay our Tesla Model 3 was damaged in the nearby underground car park (Indigo), as it was ridiculously tight with steep ramps. So this time we found on street parking.||Tours is a lovely city, and this hotel makes the perfect for exploring on foot.||I'm sure we'll book for a future stay at some point.||As Diamond HHonors, it's always nice when you get something special, and the hotel were kind enough to leave a nice note, and a plate of sweet treats, which was much appreciated.||Thanks...

I am a loyal customers of the Hilton brand and this hotel has disappointed me a lot ! I arrived late in the room and all I needed was a hot shower and a good night sleep. I run the water and can’t get it to warm up. I call the front desk who send an intern to check if the water does warm up (as if I did not know how to turn on the water) she is waking in the bathroom with her shoes, splashing water all over the place, waking in the water with her shoes, confirm that it’s not hot and leaves. 30min later I call the front desk to get an update. “You have to wait”. An hour later I call the front desk again because nobody is keeping updated, and they say: “the maintenance guy is gone for a while now, he fixed it”. In addition of not keeping me updated, they assumed it worked without checking with me who reported the problem. Then they continue with, “then you have to wait”. They did not offer to change room, they did not offer to have me shower in another room that could be cleaned the next day so we did not have to change room. And not talking about leaving me in my dirty bathroom, because waking with shoes in water where I am supposed to be bare foot is hygienic to them!! I had to go to bed with my day of plane/train dirtiness. |I am not mad that something went wrong, I am mad at it was handled ! Very poorly ! The next day and for the next 3 days asked to talk to the manager to share my feedback with her. She simply ignored all my requests. The day front desk lady was so apologetic, but the manager could not care less! And of course no gesture whatsoever was offered. Honestly stay away because when management is that bad, everything is bound to be bad...

We had a bad experience with this hotel. The kettle in our room didn’t work, we asked the reception staff to fix it but they were not able to. Since it was a Sunday there was no technician to help. Believe it or not, they were also unable to find a spare kettle for replacement. They promised a technician would be here to fix it the next day or a replacement would be given. When we were back to the hotel the next evening, nothing had been done. We called the reception to complain but the staff just said that they were not informed by the other staffs and they were not the responsible party. The initial failure to provide a replacement kettle is unacceptable. The subsequent failure to follow up the next day, compounded by the lack of responsibility amongst the staff and the dismissive attitude, is wholly unsatisfactory. House-cleaning service was equally bad: there were three of us but we were only given two coffee mugs and 3 coffee capsules. The next day, they only washed two out of the three coffee cups. They didn’t refill our tissue even though we were already down to the last few pieces. Breakfast wasn’t good either. The restaurant’s hygiene was poor, there were spiderweb and dirt in the window next to where I sit (photo)

Hilton Garden Inn was really lovely! The room was very spacious, stylish and felt luxurious in every way. The bathroom was also large, with a wonderful, rainfall shower that was a pleasure to use each day. The view didn’t disappoint (we booked the king room with a view, so we had very high expectations) and was wonderful to admire. The receptionist we spoke to when checking in was really kind and professional, which set the tone for the rest of the stay. Our only criticism would be that there are no windows in any of the rooms, so we couldn’t let in any air apart from the ventilation system installed within the room. In the height of the French summer, as you can imagine, this was a little difficult to cope with as it was sweltering and we couldn’t even crack open a window. We also came across another visitor in the lift who expressed to us that he felt somewhat claustrophobic without windows. If windows could be added to the rooms, it would definitely make this hotel a perfect five.

Si la premiĂšre impression Ă  l'entrĂ©e est positive, ce ne fut pas le cas de nos chambres communicantes: sombres, fenĂȘtres qui ne s'ouvrent pas, vis Ă  vis direct (cf. photo). Surtout elles n'Ă©taient pas propres: joints moisis dans les douches (cf. photos), taches sur les murs (cf. photo) et incrustĂ©es dans la moquette, poussiĂšre, pas de rĂ©assort des savons/ mouchoirs/ eau et un badge oubliĂ© tellement l'entretien a dĂ» ĂȘtre fait rapidement. NĂ©anmoins, cela n'aurait fait l'objet que d'un signalement le lendemain s'il n'y avait pas eu un gros problĂšme de bruit qui nous a gĂȘnĂ©s toute la nuit: du type machine Ă  laver en mode essorage (fort au point de traverser des protections auditives utilisĂ©es par dĂ©pit !). A noter que la clim Ă©tait Ă©teinte dans nos chambres. Nos enfants Ă©tant endormis, nous avons dĂ» subir ce dysfonctionnement toute la nuit et n'avons presque pas dormi car le bruit se dĂ©clenchait Ă  intervalles rĂ©guliers... rĂ©veil dĂ©finitif Ă  5 h du matin ! Nous Ă©tions Ă©puisĂ©s, alors mĂȘme que le sens de cet arrĂȘt Ă©tait de reprendre la route en forme. Si l'Ă©quipe de la rĂ©ception a Ă©tĂ© Ă  l'Ă©coute et transparente: ils sont au courant d'un problĂšme liĂ© Ă  la clim sursollicitĂ©e, qui desservirait trop de chambres par rapport Ă  sa capacitĂ©. " Pour faire du business" (je cite) Si nous avons aussi apprĂ©ciĂ© le petit geste Ă  l'attention de nos enfants (une boisson et des cookies) en attendant d'ĂȘtre en mesure de nous proposer une remise sur la nuit: le rĂšglement ayant Ă©tĂ© fait via une plateforme et dans son intĂ©gralitĂ©, la responsable de l'accueil nous indiquait ne pas ĂȘtre en mesure d'intervenir directement, mais que la direction, reviendrait bien sĂ»r vers nous avec un geste commercial. On nous a demandĂ© en ce sens un e-mail avec photos. Nous n'avons par contre pas du tout apprĂ©ciĂ© l'absence d'accusĂ© de rĂ©ception. Et encore moins le dĂ©lai de rĂ©ponse pour revenir vers nous sans geste commercial. Nous avons eu droit Ă  des excuses de façade du type "merci pour nos remarques constructives et nous espĂ©rons vous revoir lors d'un prochain sĂ©jour". Nous avons signalĂ© notre surprise face Ă  une telle rĂ©ponse, alors mĂȘme que leur collaboratrice s'Ă©tait engagĂ©e verbalement auprĂšs de nous. Sans rĂ©ponse. Un tel management, qui plus est compte tenu du nom de l'enseigne (que nous avons beaucoup frĂ©quentĂ© par le passĂ©) et de la politique tarifaire, mĂ©rite d'ĂȘtre signalĂ©.

Nous avons eu droit Ă  des excuses de façade du type "merci pour nos remarques constructives et nous espĂ©rons vous revoir lors d'un prochain sĂ©jour". Nous avons signalĂ© notre surprise face Ă  une telle rĂ©ponse, alors mĂȘme que leur collaboratrice s'Ă©tait engagĂ©e verbalement auprĂšs de nous. Sans rĂ©ponse. Un tel management, qui plus est compte tenu du nom de l'enseigne (que nous avons beaucoup frĂ©quentĂ© par le passĂ©) et de la politique tarifaire, mĂ©rite d'ĂȘtre signalĂ©.
