Stayed just one night in March 2025 and I was very glad I selected this hotel. After a long dayâs drive from the south-west France, the last thing I wanted was any hassle, especially as I had large amounts of valuable luggage to store overnight. The hotel was easy to get to from the autoroute, yet was ideally located with the beautiful centre of Troyes only a couple of minutesâ walk away. The staff at the hotel couldnât have been more helpful, allowing me to unload what I needed outside and then parking my car in their secure parking. Although the hotel doesnât have a restaurant, it is so central that there were plenty of options nearby. They have a great bar so I met my colleague there for a very good gin cocktail before heading out in search of somewhere for dinner. Even off-season, there were plenty of options within a short walk.) Returning to the room, I really appreciated the level of luxury and that it was immaculately clean. The bed was extremely comfortable - just what I needed after 9 hours of driving and with a return journey the next morning. The room is beautifully designed with everything thought out extremely well. Getting up early for breakfast the next morning to meet my colleague before we each headed off in opposite directions, I did not expect such a generous breakfast to be provided (especially in light of some underwhelming reviews of this on Tripadvisor). There was everything we could have wanted (including bacon and eggs, always a plus for Brits) and the staff were extremely accommodating of any requests once again. I booked La Licorne because it seemed like a practical option in terms of location and facilities (specifically the parking) but was so delighted with the entire experience that I am planning a return visit with my wife so that we can take a bit of time to explore Troyes properly (and so she can check out the...

The location of this hotel is great - very central. The hotel itself is very nice looking, with nice rooms. Unfortunately the positives ended there.
Overall the service we received during our stay was terrible. On arrival there was no acknowledgement of our platinum status and no welcome amenity provided during the stay. No offer of upgrade (per platinum status benefits) until my husband complained. No help with unloading and bringing the luggage to the room.
On day one we asked the hotel to recommend and book a restaurant for dinner only to turn up and find the restaurant closed. We tried to call the hotel but there was no answer, so we ended up finding somewhere else to eat. When we returned to the hotel we find out that the concierge had booked a different restaurant and not told us, and staff were not apologetic.
We asked for toiletries and towels to be replenished on the second day, to no avail.
Finally, there were very limited breakfast options for a five star hotel, certainly compared to other hotels we have stayed in. No freshly cooked on demand items at all.
We will not...
