I had a crazy experience during my stay at the hotel, which was clearly renovated, but there were huge problems with cleanliness. Just look at the photo from the restaurant! We went for breakfast, and suddenly my kids, who were supposed to sit at the biggest table, ran to me screaming that they were covered in nets. I couldn't understand what they meant until I went over to see the table! The chairs were covered in spider webs. Just look at the picture! That was the end of our breakfast. It’s ridiculous to pay for a hotel that includes breakfast and not be able to eat it. Next day I tried with pancakes and look what I have got 😂 at least I was able to make a funny pancake face on my plate.
I couldn’t speak to the manager since we were there for the weekend, and he was unavailable. I showed the photos to the receptionist, and I believe they should be prepared to address such concerns with more than apology. I must admit the receptionists were nice, but perhaps it’s their policy; another issue was the temperature in the rooms. It was extremely hot, and when I asked why I couldn’t lower it, I was told that the manager decided the temperature on the panel couldn’t be set below 20 degrees Celsius. However, it was incredibly hot outside, and maintaining it at this level didn’t help. It was a terrible experience coming back after a hot day, unable to cool down in the room.
Overall, there was dust everywhere, and we also encountered spiders and mosquitoes. They should hire someone to regularly clean different areas, but it seems they are not maximizing their client capacity and are trying to save as much as possible. This strategy, however, won’t attract more clients, as I overheard people talking to the restaurant staff about dirty cups and dishes.
I must say that I have stayed at DoubleTree many times, and it has always been a top-notch experience, which is why I booked this place out of many options in Paris. I am greatly disappointed as a Diamond/Gold member!

Hello,
I sent you an email but did not receive a response. Additionally, I was charged twice for parking, even though I only had one car. I rented two rooms but had only one vehicle, and yet I was billed for parking for each room.
I am looking forward to hearing from you, as this charge is...

Just dark like a horror movie. The front desk night staff were great especially Riyadh who checked us in. The weekend night front desk staff another gentleman was also nice. He said he only worked Friday, Sat and Sunday. . I didn't care for the skinny bearded daytime front desk manager. He is not nice. I noticed restaurants around Paris have no meat on their menu. The restaurant at this Doubletree has beef, calamari and chicken on their menu. I had the beef and a citrus salad to go with it. It was delicious! The server was also the food manager during daytime. They must've been short staffed. The housekeepers were polite and did the room cleaning as expected. The breakfast had a lot of variety and healthy options. There was hot food with eggs, delicious not too salty or sweet bacone, bakery items, two types of cheese brie and swiss, cut fruit, yogurt, three espresso/coffee machines, freshly squeezed fruit juices, water, different kind of nuts. Our breakfast was part of the deal and I can't complain. All the food was great! We slept very well. I did not mind the distance from Paris. We had a car rental. It took 40 mins to get to Paris city center. The peace and quiet was great.
This hotel is in the Versailles arrondissement. Very close to this castle. Georges Bizet (who wrote the opera Carmen) lived nearby and his house is being made into a museum.
There is a boulangerie nearby about a mile on the other side of this long street called Boulangerie Du Chateau Rueil Malmai that has excellent baked goods. Not too sweet just right.
Parking - exhorbitant 15 euros nightly for parking in their garage. The garage door does not work sometimes so you can get locked in! Best to park in the front of the hotel if you get lucky and get a parking space. It's free. Don't let that skinny bearded daytime manager tell you different. He gave me a speech about how the front parking belongs to the city and you can get towed. Liar.
I give this hotel 4 stars. The lighting and the hallway wall and door paint color needs...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! We booked a 2 night stay while we were in Paris, the room is full of bugs! cockroaches on the beds and walking on the ceiling!, spiders on the ceiling and big black ants walking on the ceiling and beds. The night front desk staff is EXTREMELY RUDE! She has the WORST customer service skills. At almost midnight when we arrived at the hotel after a day spent soghtseeing, I called down to the front desk to let her know what was going on since my son who is 7 was hysterical about the entire bug situation and all she said was she could move us from room 537 to 536, are you kidding me? if bugs are in one room they are bound to be in the next room. I said no that's not acceptable can you move us to a different building? she said how do you know the bugs are going to be in 536? you don't want to move? I will tell my manager that you refused to move, will you be checking out tonight? (BTW, the manager is NOT at the premise, they give you an email to speak with them and NO ONE has answered us, it's been more than a week) She is DISGUSTINGLY RUDE! I called Hilton Customer Service and they too called down to the front desk and encountered this rude lady! Unfortunately, the Hilton rep on the phone was unable to help me and transfered me over to a supervisor, who was very unhelpful! He would not comp us a room at a different location, which is unfair because we paid for 2 nights at this hotel and had to come out of pocket an extra 300euros to book at another Hilton property plus 40euros for an uber to transfer us there at almost 1am with my petrified 7yr old in a foreign country. I'm beyond disappointed at how Hilton handled this situation being that I am a very loyal customer and stay at Hilton properties all the time. This hotel should NOT be in a Hilton property list, is DOES NOT meet any Hilton standard. ITS DIRTY, FULL OF BUGS AND THE STAFF IS DISGUSTINGLY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If I could give this property a negative star...
