Don’t be fooled by the charming name “misty mountain”. A more suitable name would be “mouldy mountain”. Our curtains were covered in mould and the bathroom tiles also had mould on them. The humidity level in the room was extreme and condensation on the windows so bad in the mornings that puddles formed on the floor. We couldn’t keep our door open for fresh air though as a stray cat walked in and decided to hide under our bed until we managed to chase it out.

In addition to the bad air, the bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. With a huge dip in the middle and a loud squeak every time we moved, sleeping was impossible. A neighbouring dog also seemed to bark all night. The toilet flush also didn’t work properly - making noises so loud that it seemed the entire building could hear it. Only on flushing it multiple times would the noise stop. One of the bedside lamps also did not work. Tea and coffee are available for free but the mugs don’t look clean.

Only the view provided the experience we expected at this hotel, although this was also dampened by the fact our windows were blurry due to the condensation on them.

I’d recommend staying away from the hotel and finding somewhere else. Not worth a penny in its...

Owner and receptionist are very nice and respectful people. I reserved one night but i chose basic room which I didn’t like much as it has no view. There are other perfect rooms which was sold out unfortunately. Owner canceled my reservation upon my request at 7 pm on the evening of the same day of checking in with out cutting any money. I recommend this place, its newly refurbished and stylish. I would book earlier next visit...
