First of all, there is no reception at the hotel! You must walk two blocks in the street for your check in and receive your room card, in another hotel named CENTRO HOTEL AYUN. Both are from the same chain, but this last one is like the "rich cousin", ARKADIA HOTEL is the "poor cousin". So basically if it's raining, the hotel does not care about it. Walk two blocks and go get your card.||The rooms were very clean, very good! But the service from the attendants not so good. My internet wasn't working at 10p.m., when my wife and I came back from our day trip in Köln, so the attendant said that they couldn't do nothing at that time. So again, the hotel does not care about it if. But at least the reception gave a new room in the "rich cousin" hotel, AYUN. Than I walked two blocks to get my luggage and walked two blocks back.||The breakfast is very nice, very good variety and the service again, very good.||If you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night, just please check the internet at first when you get there. And be aware that you must walk in the street to go from your room to: check-in, breakfast...
Read moreI am very uneasy to have to write such an unpleasant review!||Unfortunately I find myself obliged to stress once more that my experience in this Arcadia Koln hotel room has been dreadful. The room was wrongly commercialized and turned out to be a tiny cubicle of 9 square meters, placed right on the staircase exit, in the middle of all people’s constant passage and noise! All day and night it went goes on and on... impossible to rest! The only window was badly insulated, therefore a freezing breeze kept storming in, impossible to avoid since the bed was right under the window and the room was basically the size of a coffin!! The room was dirty and extremely uncomfortable. To access the minuscule bathroom you basically had to jump off the bed! ||Simply terrible!||I tried endlessly and in vain to get a change of room,||but naturally no refund nor change of room were possible. The only thing I achieved were a lack of and absolutely poor assistance throughout this whole unfortunate matter from both Expedia and the Hotel!||A total abuse and...
Read moreDriving from Nuremberg to Frankfurt we were very tired and needed sleep very badly. We booked this hotel on booking.com from the car and reached there at 22.00 hrs. To our horror, we were told that the area isn't safe and we should not leave our luggage in the car. We were traveling to Germany from India and had to take the return flight from Frankfurt and like any international travelers, we had One large suitcase (50 lbs) & a cabin bag of 25 lbs each. The room was on the 3rd floor (Ground, First, second and then third floor) and the hotel did not have a elevator. We had to carry everything to the top floor and the room was a pigeon hole. So small that we could barely fit in with our luggage. The toilet and shower were together with a washbasin that was smallest ever seen. The curtain between bed section and toilet could only hide the person sitting on the toilet seat and when taking shower, water was everywhere because there were no shower curtains or separators.||Horrible stay we had and wish no one else goes...
