We recently concluded a stay at Mercure Zentrum Düsseldorf from December 30, 2023, to January 1, 2024. The hotel's advantageous location, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the shopping streets and the same time from a very nice wildprk, is it's best feature. Upon arrival, check-in was efficient, the staff was friendly, and the room, in line with Mercure standards, offered satisfactory amenities including coffee and tea. The hotel provides a convenient parking facility under the premises for 20 euros per night, which we chose over the free alternative across the street, considering the New Year's fireworks. However, our overall experience was marred by significant noise disturbances during the night, contrary to the promised "soundproof rooms" highlighted on Accor's website. This was particularly disappointing and led us to question the effectiveness of the hotel's sound insulation. In an attempt to address the inconvenience, the compensation provided (refund for one night of parking (20 euros)) seems inadequate, especially considering the total cost of the weekend stay amounted to just under 400 euros. On a positive note, the breakfast offerings were commendable, featuring a diverse selection of items ranging from bacon, meatballs, and scrambled eggs to yogurts, muesli, cornflakes, cheeses, and deli meats. However, the coffee from the machine left much to be desired, as it exhibited an unpalatable sourness, potentially stemming from an issue with the milk. Fortunately, this could be easily rectified with instant coffee. Adding to the drawbacks, the bathroom facilities were notably in need of renovation. Mold was pervasive in various corners of the silicone, and some areas lacked proper sealing, detracting from the overall cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations. While we departed contently with the perspective that "it could have been worse," the combination of noise disturbances and subpar bathroom conditions leaves us hesitant to choose Mercure Zentrum Düsseldorf for a second stay until improvements are made.

Gibt keinen anderen Weg raus. Total doof. Solide günstige Hotelalternative.

Wanted to book hotel in city center and we found out this one as it was renovated in September 2015. We had great experience with Mercure hotel before and we were confident a renovated one would be a good option.

We decided to book it because also so we could park our car safely in the parking lot of the hotel. Unfortunately, in december, the parking space was still not renovated and finished. Minor disappointment, but this should be written on accor hotel website

The room wasnew and clean, nice bathroom, and clean in overall, no problem about that. But the problem start when you want to actually sleep. You can clearly see the light from the hallway under the door. The space under the door was so big I could fit my fingers under it (I have tried it). My guess would be 1 centimeter

Not the best to sleep in the dark. And the worse is when other people come in the hallway : it seems like somebody is coming to your room. You are totally going to hear what is happening on your floor : people talking, knocking on the door .. no ISOLATION at ALL. I have no problem with people coming back at 3 a.m. in their hotel room and having fun, but I wish I felt I was not with them! Our night was horrible and even 2 Stars hotel don't have such bad isolation (if any).

Will not recommend at all.I wish I had booked Ibis budget instead, I am sure I could have...
