Staff was very welcoming and the fact that you can hear Cantonese conversations between aunties in the background makes it feel like you are transported to Hong Kong.
The rice rolls with prawns were soft, succulent and smooth. They just melted in our mouths. The pan fried taro cake was crispy and had the right taro to flour ratio (they could certainly put in a little more dried shrimps though).
The custard buns were a disappointment though. They were yellow though it’s supposed to be white (I’m not racist) and the custard filling was not viscous as it should be. The sesame balls (ha) did not have the correct filling inside. The authentic ones usually come with yellow mung bean paste rather than brown lotus paste (again, not racist).
