squarebar — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

I had an amazing experience at Squarebar Düsseldorf! The service was excellent, and I was especially impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the female staff member who attended to me (unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name). She served me with great care and spoke with me in English, making me feel warm and welcomed.

I had a gin and tonic, which was fantastic, and they also provided small pretzels throughout the night—such a lovely touch! The atmosphere was cozy, and the drinks were top-notch.

I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re in town. With great drinks, a warm ambiance, and exceptional service from the “mystery” staff member, it’s a must-visit. Next time, I’ll make sure to ask...

Adorable cocktail bar in Düsseldorf- with spectacular service. The two people working were so friendly and vivacious - they make their drinks with love and it shows.

This small bar has a great vibe, and the cocktail list was adorable.. sort of a little book that looked like a hand sketched journal with descriptions of their beverages and more.

The vegan milk punch was memorable, and everyone loved their drinks. They make a great mocktail, and we got cucumber water and pretzels before ordering.

It was slow, so we got to chat with the bartender and she suggested a cocktail based off our preferences- it was perfect.

Erstmal vielen Dank, dass Ihr trotz Corona weiter geöffnet habt und für Eure Gäste da seid. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend in Eurer Bar.

Warum dann nur 2/5 Sternen? Das hat zwei Gründe:

Sind die Drinks teilweise sehr gut gewesen, teilweise aber sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Eure Getränkekarte ist ja nett und hip gemeint, aber man weiß eigentlich nicht was man vorher bestellt. Im Liq läuft das, auch wenn dieser Laden stark nachgelassen hat, seit Jahren besser. Insgesamt war aber alles gut. Also was das angeht: 4/5 Sterne!

Das 2. und viel wichtigere ist:

Es gibt, auch im Jahr 2020, und auch mit Corona UND dazu noch einer modernen Tablet-Kasse (!!) immer noch keine Kartenzahlung.

Der Inhaber hat also die Knete für eine modernste Computerkasse übrig, bietet aber dann nur Barzahlung an. Das ist insbesondere jetzt grade unverständlich, denn die Hygiene profitiert extrem von kontaktloser Zahlung. Außerdem hat es uns einen kleinen 5 Minuten Spaziergang zur Bank eingebrockt - ich halte das für schlechten Service.

Ich bin selber selbstständig und habe ein Kartenzahlungsterminal. Liebes Squarebar-Team: Es kostet unter 20€ im Monat. Schaut euch mal das iZettle an z.B., es ist echt günstig. Ihr habt nicht mehr den Aufwand, das Bargeld zur Bank zu schaffen, die Kunden können entspannt bezahlen und ihr schützt uns und Euch davor, die angegrabbelten Geldscheine anzufassen.

Ansonsten schöne Bar. Wenn ihr zufällig gerade Bargeld dabei haben solltet einen Besuch wert. Sonst eher Liq in...
