Victory Gästehaus Therme Erding — Hotel in Erding

Our family had departed the UK on December 18, 2021 was planning to travel from Austria to Germany when news of Germany's change in Covid Entry Requirements designating the UK as a virus variant high-risk area was announced declarining, "On arrival in Germany, all permitted travellers from the UK who arrive after 23:01 on 19 December must quarantine at home for 14 days irrespective of their vaccination status." ||||It was nearly impossible to reach Therme Erding on the phone with horribly long wait times. I finally emailed the spa directly to inform them of my cancellation due to this change of Covid entry requirements to Germany. You can imagine my surprise when I receive an email on December 27, 2021 I received an email telling me that I was being charged Euro 136, - as I was a "NO SHOW." Despite there being one internet page for the Therme Erding that advertises to customers that hotel and spa can all be booked in one place, the Victory Gastehaus insisted that everything should have been cancelled separately. They expressed complete disregard concerning the newly issued Covid entry requirements that affected their customers. ||||Many companies have found positive ways to care and engage with their customers and keep both sides happy during these uncertain Covid times when regulations are changing daily. Victory Gasthaus certainly could have at least offered a voucher for future use as a token of compromise and customer service. Instead, the representatives that I corresponded with with were completely apathetic and inflexible. They lacked even the most minimal amount of customer service and empathy it would require to figure out a compromise. Victory Gastehaus had the opportunity to keep a future customer and maintain positive customer service, but chose otherwise. With Therme Erding being such a major tourist attraction, I would expect far better customer service and increased flexibility especially with regards to changing Covid regulations. Located right next to the world’s largest spa, it is without any doubts the best affordable option to get the best or nothing.|| Despite advertising that the rooms come with kitchenette with fridge, hob and cookware/dishes/utensils, that’s not the case as to get kitchen utensils, the property charges €5 for a basket with almost satisfying kitchen utensils.|| I’ve mentioned almost satisfying as I had to ask a few times to get a corkscrew, handy to opening a bottle of wine, as to which I was told by reception staff every room is equipped with. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit 1 Rollbett für‘s Kind reserviert. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß für 3 Personen und praktisch aufgeteilt und an der großen Wand über dem Bett empfing uns das Motiv eines langen Sandstrandes unter Palmen. Bei 4 Leuten würde es sicher etwas eng werden. Es verfügte über eine kleine Küche mit Cerankochfeld, Spüle und Kühlschrank und hatte einen Balkon mit kleinem Tisch, zwei bequemen Stühlen und einem Trocknergestell für die Badehandtücher. |Man könnte erwarten, dass bei der starken Frequentiertrung des Gästehauses die Zimmer etwas abgewohnt sind. Aber zu unserer Überraschung waren das ganze Haus und die Zimmer nicht nur sehr sauber, sondern es war auffallend wenig Vergang festzustellen. Nur drei Striemen an der Wand deuteten darauf hin, dass einige Koffer oder Schuhe unsanft gegen die Wand geschoben worden waren. Offensichtlich werden alle Bereiche vom Personal sehr gepflegt.|Da es am Vortag einen Schmutzwasserrohrbruch im Keller gegeben hatte, hatten wir keine Chance, uns etwas aus der Bar zu holen. Dazu mussten wir zum Victory Hotel über den Parkplatz und uns aus der Bar dort etwas besorgen. Das Barpersonal dort hatte von dem Malheur im Gästehaus noch nichts gehört und war ausnahmslos freundlich und super hilfsbereit. Und so konnten wir am Ende eines langen Tages dann doch noch einen wirklich leckeren und nicht zu dünnen 😜 Gintonic auf unserem Balkon genießen.|Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr umfangreich. Es gab 4-5 verschiedene Brötchensorten, Laugenbrezeln, Laugenknoten, verschiedene Gebäckteilchen und Croissants, verschiedene Cerealien, Milch, Säfte, Wasser, frisches Obst und Obstsalat, Butter, Margarine, vier verschiedene Käsesorten, Aufschnitt, Joghurt, Rührei, gebratenen Speck, gebratene Nürnberger Würstchen, gekochte Eier und ich habe sicher noch irgendetwas vergessen. Kaffee und Kaffeespezialitäten konnte an den Automaten selbst zubereitet werden. Die Auswahl der Teesorten war auch überraschend vielfältig.|Laufend wurde das Buffet liebevoll erneuert und aufgefüllt. Das Personal im Frühstücksbereich war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.|Für Pkw, Wohnmobile und Gespanne standen ausreichend kostenfreie Parkplätze vor der Tür...
