Villa Fantasia Budget Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Füssen

TL:DR while the room was great, I would not stay here again due to the lack of service.

Main: The rooms are clean and very comfortable for the value. There are reviews talking about breakfast, but they no longer offer this service. This was not a problem for us, but I did want to give updated information.

The main issue is that there is absolutely no service available, except between 3-6 pm. I booked online for two nights and received a confirmation email. However, when we attempted to check in at 6:15, the self-service check in could not pull up my confirmed reservation. We had to make a brand new reservation. I'm hoping I don't get a cancellations fee for a reservation I could not use.

We had additional issues that could have been resolved if we had been able to talk to anyone, but there was no one to talk to, unless we wanted to miss our tour times between 3-6. We attempted to use the information call button, but no one responded. They gave a number to call for help, but when I tried calling this number, I got a message saying the phone wasn't working or connected. Additionally, this is extremely inconvenient because I was charged international calling fees just to try to...

This hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable with a delicious breakfast spread, but what really impressed us about Hotel Fantasia was their customer service! My husband and I discovered that we booked our next hotel in the wrong city and were frantic to figure out how to cancel this next reservation when we spoke almost no German. The man who had helped us check-in called our hotel and spoke with them in German to cancel the reservation and then called a hotel we found in the next city we were going to. He was able to tell them the complete situation in German as well and book us a room so we could rest assured on our drive that we had a room to land in. The only downside of our stay at Hotel Fantasia for us was that the Wi-Fi was spotty in our particular room, but they had multiple, nice computers in their breakfast area that could be used too. A very cute hotel located within sight of the train station. The single room is well appointed and quite large for only one person, with plenty of storage space if you're staying for a while. The bathroom is beautiful, and even includes a hair dryer. Reception and all other staff I interacted with were warm and welcoming and spoke fine English. The woman working at reception was incredibly helpful (when I arrived she already had a packet for me with a map of the town, a map of the kings' castles, the Füssen card and a bus schedule to the kings' castles) and willing to help. When I noticed my room wasn't warming up, she immediately came to help me sort it out. I went out to dinner - when I came back she had taken it upon herself to check other heaters, noticed they weren't working either, and had a service repairman out to fix the whole system - all within less than an hour.
