The Hotel Frankfurt Messe Affiliated by Melia, a hotel that does not have much luxury, unfortunately when I went to eat breakfast the next morning at 9:00 am, the dining room was completely full, without a table available: 00 am, the dining room was completely full, without a table available, to which I had to look for a table on my own to have breakfast, since I asked a guy in the dining room where I could eat, and he told me to look for a table outside the dining room, ie in the lobby of the hotel, which is considered poor service, I was not even accompanied to the place, on the other hand the guy who attended me did not understand English to the point that what I asked for, he had to indicate his companion at the reception, on the other hand the menu of the New Year's Eve dinner, was in German in its entirety, no one did it in English which I did not find pleasant either, I must point out that the hotel does not have room service, in my room a bathrobe was missing, which I had to go down to the reception, which seems illogical to me because if I am booking a room for two people a month in advance and incidentally the room with the highest price as the JUNIOR SUITE, the minimum is that everything is inside the room, not to mention that the next day I had to look for the two cleaning girls to please put paper in my bathroom as well as plastic bags for women's intimate waste and coffee, that is why I can assure that the service was NOT the most pleasant.

You can get a lot of space for the money. The reception staff are lovely and helpful. I’ve not tried the breakfast etc yet, but the cafe space looks beautiful next to the reception. But a lot of the criticisms I’ve seen in other reviews apply. The Wi-Fi doesn’t function well - I can’t log in in my room at the desk. Surprise condom and hairband in the cupboard. Coffee machine needed run through three times before what came out wasn’t brown. Everything has been recently (last month?) painted white. Room therefore smells of paint - but it’s really odd. They have painted wooden furniture and mirror surrounds with wall paint. It’s the wrong paint, and it’s already been scratched off in places. The electrical socket plastics are tired and yellow. Then again, you’d be paying 50% more if you were to stay at the nearby Radisson Blu for the same dates, so how much once can complain is limited.

Is a nice hotel to stay, very near to the messe hall. Tram goes directly to central station. The room, were decent. Not a big fan of tubs that is why room got a 4. No tea, no fridge was also not good. The service was good. I wish hotels switch to paperless mode as well making checkin process smooth. The guy on reception was very nice and good but was overwhelmed. Almost 6 people waiting. Would have been helpful if checkins are prepared in advance. I.e. get information in advance and give card as soon as the person comes. Overall is ok, can stay if need place near messe hall.

I came here on a work trip. I was really dissapointed! The staff have no intention whatsoever of helping. I asked what room my course would be in and the staff just answered:"I don't know somewhere back there I guess". I then asked what time, again he said probably about 9 they all start at 9. The rooms are scarce. They don't even offer a bottle of water or a small welcome basket. Nothing. For that price a real disgrace. We will not be booking here again.

Edit: Today after I had written this review yesterday, the director of the hotel came to me at the breakfast table to speak to me. I explained the situation and also said that there were other things that I did not put in the review because I did not want to destroy the reviews that much. The director was so impolite and threatening, that I should take out mu bad review though. That I now definitely will explain these points also; When I checked in the staff told me there had been a problem with my payment, they said they needed a form faxed to them with a signature from my boss saying that they will definitely be paying for my stay. It was 8 pm, but I managed to get through on the phone to our bosses assistant who sorted all the mess out and sent a fax and an email straight away! The staff then let me into my room. Today when checking out however they asked me to pay. I explained the situation and they asked me to ring my boss. I rang the bosses assistant and once again she sent a fax and explained that she had already transfered the money etc. I then went to have breakfast, where the director if the hotel found me and as said, told me to remove my bad review. Telling me I was only on to having revenge and that I was a cowardly person. I did not react much, I explained the situation and then carried on eating, whilst she ranted at me infront of all the people sat in the restaurant. She then left after 5 minutes. When I was ready eating I went to her at the reception and asked if the payment had got there. She said yes and walked away, really annoyed.

Whilst waiting for my course to start, I was sat in the foyer of the hotel. I was sat there for 15 minutes, in that time 3 guests complained. One complained that his a.c was freeezing cold and broken and that no one had done anything about it for the last two days. Another complained that his tap had fallen off and he had been waiting since the day before for someone to repair it. The third person complained that his card wasn't working (again)! On all three occasions the director of the hotel reacted impolite and totally inappropriate. I really hope these people are not scared by her reaction and actually do write a review! (If you are reading this, please write a review, that is the only way things will change).

There is one positive thing about the hotel, one of the staff members, unfortuanately I did not catch her name, I think she might be a manager of the kitchen or of a small department, was really really nice! She attended to every need the girls in the course had and went to extra lengths to make us feel welcome, thank you, whoever you may be!!

We will not be booking here again. Our bosses assistant has put this hotel on the "black list" as in, not to be used again.

A good alternative for about the same price is the radisson hotel a few hundred...

Friendly staff good location. However, I got a pass for parking that wasn't explained well and ended up costing me money.. I was told you scan it when you come in and leave the parking garage and it would keep track of how often you use the garage and charge you when you check out. I was trying to save money on my trip so I ended up finding street parking after the 1st night. I asked the receptionist again to make sure i was correct that I would only be charged for the days i used the parking garage and was told yes. I specifically told her i found street parking. So when it comes time to check out I get charged for 4 nights of parking. She showed me the parking pass I signed showing I would be charged for 4 days. I said yes that was if I used it for 4 days, which i did not. She basically told me that when i told the other receptionist that i found street parking I should've gotten a new parking pass just for that 1 day I used it, like I was supposed to know that ... She didn't even attempt to correct it at check out. I guess it was too late so i got charged for 4 nights of parking because someone misinformed me. Very bad customer service.

Also... internet was horrible and room doors were...
