So this is your typical trendy Moxy. It's just on the edge of Frankfurt on a main Road (which also has a Tram Line). It costs about €30 in an Uber from the Airport. It's weekday Room rate is not bad, Corp Rate was about €120/night, including Breakfast. So the hotel has a great decor, lots of interesting items to look at, quite a cool eclectic mix of items😎 The main Reception also acts as a large Bar area with plenty of seats, they also serve decent German Beer 👍. The Bar area also doubles up as a Breakfast area in the morning. There is also an area where you can work👍, and an 'on site' Barbers?? 😵‍💫 The Bedrooms are okay, not massive but not too small, they have Air-cons, but more importantly, they have windows that open 🙂👍 The beds are okay, I got an average sleep whilst staying there. The rooms do lack from ANY form of Clothes storage, which I found weird👎. I am not looking for lots of Wardrobes or Chest-of-Drawers, but providing just THREE Hangers on a Coat Hook is just poor! Even other 'discount' Hotel chains (that don't provide actual Wardrobes) at least have a 'Rail' / 'Shelf' to hang up/place clothes 🫤 One other BIG miss is the Shower, it is well designed but it has basic 'Mixer' handle, it's not Thermostatically controlled, so water constantly changes from hot to cold (based on other Guests water usage 🤦‍♂️) also if you knock the handle whilst showering (really easily done) you can then scold 🔥 or freeze yourself ❄️👎👎. Overall it's quite a good hotel, if they fix a few other small design problems, I'd happily give them 5 stars 👍

When I inquired about availability in advance, when the hotel responded, and when I checked in, the larger rooms were on sale, but there was no upgrade for elite members. The response said they were sold out, but they were still on sale. It's far from Frankfurt Central Station, but it's quite close to the tram (11) stop. No slippers or toothbrushes. Tissues and hair dryers are provided. The bed is a little springy. There is a USB outlet at the bedside. The air conditioning cannot be individually adjusted. Bonvoy elite members can only choose between points or a $10 credit, and cannot choose breakfast. The female staff at the front desk was kind. The hotel is far from the central station, and even if a room is available, they respond to Bonvoy elite members that it is "sold out" and do not upgrade them, so I will never come again. The regular rooms are quite small.

I had issues with check-in, the person who was at the check-in counter was not very cooperative. Other than that, it was the same as any other Moxy branded hotels. Rooms were good and spacious but there were no closet space other than few hangers. The bathroom amenities were not filled up by housekeeping on the 4th day or so when the Body wash ran out. The lobby space was really big and good to hangout when we are a part of a group. Breakfast spread was okay but for the price you cannot complain much. There are lots of good restaurants nearby. And there is a really big supermarket within a walking distance. For this price there aren't much options out there in Frankfurt.

The layout of this hotel is unlike anything I've experienced. When I got there, I didn't know where the reception desk was.. I went to what looked like a bar counter - complete with pizza oven, microwaves and menu boards - to ask. Then I was told I was at the check-in desk. Okay, interesting. They told me I had to wait 3 HOURS for my room to be ready - despite the Marriott App telling me my room was ready - this after a 9 hour plane flight.

The elevator is plastered with pictures of people seemingly having a ball around the hotel, I never actaually saw any of this - but it was cute. The room was below average - no closet/cupboard, 2 pegs in the wall to hang whatever might need hanging - and no phone. That was a first for me.

I went back down to the front desk to find out if it was normal to not have a closet, hangars or a phone in the rooms - and had to stand for 15 minutes while the reception staff made food for other guests in the restaurant. When they finally got to me, the lady told me with a smile.. yes, its normal.

The mattress felt too soft - like it was worn out. The shower only had two settings - very hot or very cold, and aside from a garish floor-to-ceiling photograph of a paint-splattered woman screaming, there wasn't much to the decor.

Its very much DIY.. they expect you to understand the German instructions on the coffee machines - or just don't have coffee. The reception staff are just too busy to help. Breakfast seemed to consist of hard-boiled eggs and assorted cuts of meat.

Overall, Moxy is a concept that needs work. Nice idea, shiny surface with serious problems underneath. I hope they can fix things - the staff seem very pleasant - if overworked, and it seems...
