This is either the wrong address or a huge disappointment. We walked 20 minutes from the nearest train station through an industrial neighborhood to land at a closed gate in supposedly open hours (11:30am on a Wednesday). We could catch sight of an old train in the back so I guess that might have been the correct place after all... Tried to call but to no avail.

Veranstalter von Sonderzugfahrten. Bei Sonderzugfahrten werden Dampfloks und Dieselloks eingesetzt. Anbei Fotos vom Teddybär-Tag. Der Wagenzug besteht aus DB-Wagons mit 6er-Abteilen und einem Mitropa Speisewagon. Für Kinderwagen ist ein Post-Güterwagen dabei.

Wer noch nie mit einer riesigen Dampflok (BR 52 mit 130 t) vorneweg mitten durch die Frankfurter Innenstadt (Mainufer/Nizza/Eiserner Steg) - vom Ostende (EZB/Mainkur) bis zum äußersten Westend (Kraftwerk/Rebstock/Gallus-Viertel) gefahren ist, hat tatsächlich etwas verpasst. Hier kann er es mehrfach im Jahr für ganz kleines Geld erleben. Der Clou: Man kann sogar auf dem Lokstand mitfahren! Tipp für die Autofahrer, steigt bei der neuen EZB am Osthafen zu, da ist eher ein kostenfreier Parkplatz zu finden, als in der Frankfurter Innenstadt am Römer, bzw. Eisernen Steg. Hut ab vor den lieben Menschen, die so etwas freiwillig und ohne Lohn Jahr für Jahr möglich machen. Von ganzem Herzen: Danke! Wer daran Freude findet: Werdet bitte zumindest Fördermitglied. Es lohnt sich immer wieder: Das ist Technik zum Anfassen...

We came at 11:00 on a Saturday and the gates were locked, no answer on the telephone. It was quite disappointing after a 30 minute drive and my 3 year old boy was very excited to see the eisenbahn, but we had to look on from...
