This is not the place to be if you want to enjoy the best view of Mainhattan's skyline though you can see it far away with the ECB building close by. However, this area gives a different vibe of Frankfurt. It is more lay back on one hand and energetic on the other hand. You see people strolling, cycling, jogging, sunbathing, relaxing, chatting, drinking and chilling out along the South bank of Main River. On the North bank, there are a few sport facilities like skatepark, street ball courts and playgrounds for the more active kind. So to have a more holistic image of Frankfurt on top of high finance and heavy history, why not walk out of Innenstadt and head east beyond ECB and you will find another face...

Das Lola Montez als Clublocation in der Honsellbrücke ist schon eine selten gute Idee..Zentral und doch abgelegen genug, um keinen Ärger wegen Lärmbelästigung mit empörten Nachbarn zu haben, dazu einfach der Charme des brutalistisch anmutenden Inneren- schlichter, purer Stahlbeton als moderne Version von mittelalterlichen Kuppelbauten. Wenn dann noch DJane Claude Dehmer und der bekannte DJ Heinz Felber die good old Hits aus den Achtzigern, Neunzigern und den Nullerjahren auflegen, gibt's für das bunt gemischte, junggebliebene Publikum kein Halten mehr. Einziges Manko: das Anstellen an der Theke wird aufgrund zu wenig Thekenpersonal eine irre Geduldsprobe. Da vergeht einem die Lust, sich ein Getränk zu holen. Da gibt's noch viel Luft nach oben und ist definitiv verbesserungswürdig. Daher gibt's dafür einen Stern Punktabzug. Sonst hätte ich tatsächlich 5 Sterne vergeben. Als Location für diverse Ausstellungen etc. funktioniert der Raum ebenso gut. Einen Besuch ist das Lola Montez...

It was wonderful to give it a visit, although weather is not at its best, but still you get amazed by the beautiful views and the bridge as well.
