How this hotel can be ranked #3 in Gunzburg bewilders me. Or maybe we got a very bad room (101)? Luckily it was on the first floor, because there is no elevator here. You'll be carrying your suitcases up the stairs yourself (and forget it if you're in a wheelchair). On the other hand, it was right above the street lamps and hotel sign outside. The light came right through the curtains which clearly didn't block enough light (don't close completely).||||But that was nothing next to the strange odor that reigned in there, so you basically have to sleep with the windows open; not recommended for light sleepers as the closeby clock tower rings every half hour.||||The room itself was fairly clean, but the bathroom was really not (see pictures). The decoration came straight out of the 80's; a good renovation would be necessary here. The best part of the stay was the super fast WiFi with excellent reception in the room (although you'll need to find the password yourself because there is no staff on location to help you).||||The breakfast downstairs (in an ice cream restaurant) was similar to the room: basic and functional. Choices were limited and the quality was at best average.||||I agree that the italian owner is nice, but it didn't make up for a poor...

And by noise I mean people drinking and having fun(at least them) by 1a.m. or trucks coming in to supply early in the morning. To get inside the hotel there is no key, you have to register on a website which will allow you to open the main dor and the room door. O spent one hour on front of the hotel because the website for the doors access was not working. Really really frustrating...no back-up plan, noboby to offer assistance. Just a lady on the phone which was struggling to help, but she was obviously overwhelmed. Short story, I had such a frustrating experience with this hotel. Really embarrassing in 2022 to not be able to open...
