Firstly, thank Weber Family for keeping replying me email as our plan might be changed unwillingly due to the flight delay in the morning. The delay followed by the uncertainty about afternoon flight and evening trains, as well as the lost journey before arriving Günzburg. Unfortunately, I could not type German so I used English in emails. By the end of that day, no reply from train company and the desired restaurant. However, this hotel kept the communication on even though English is not their first language (the texts looked generated by translation tool). They were honest to remind me that I could cancel the room for free before 6pm. That made me felt warm and secured. ||||The maps did not tell us that there were some slopes with little amount of street lights on the roads. The walk with heavy baggages acted liked adventure. Although there was dark I could feel the cool air, it's refreshing. Room key with welcoming letter left at the front desk as we arrived late. The bed was so comfortable, but we have to use the "natural air cooler" as the room had neither air conditioner nor fan. Besides, we had to walk carefully and speak softly as the floor and the wall sounds not solid enough.||||Secondly, the food was fresh and nutritious in the small bar. The buffet provided various muesli, fresh breads and fruits, ham and cheese slices, as well as juices and tea packs. Also, I have some fried eggs, hot cakes and honey for my breakfast. The style choice may be limited to some people, but I love all of them! The weather was dry in the first morning so I consumed some quantity of fruit. By the next morning, I was surprised at more fruit served in the breakfast buffet. That made me felt cared.||||The view from room window was colourful and poetic, whenever day or night outside. Overall, I...
Read moreClean, with the right amenities for a 3 stars hotel with good and friendly service. The breakfast was ok with a nice room with lots of natural light. Don't expect an overwhelming selection but what they offer is jut right, from fruits to cereals and classic continental.||The hotel location is great, right in the middle of the old city. It is only 7 min away from the main train station in Gunzburg (here you can take the bus to Legoland every 30 min) We have actually walked with our trolley bags from the station and it was quite easy. Parking options are quite limited near the hotel.||There is a great selection of restaurants and coffee shops near the hotel, where you can eat from Indian, Greek to Italian.||Room 27 faces the main street with great view but can be a bit noisy if you need to have the windows opened on a...
Read moreVisited Legoland and decided to stay here instead of one of the official hotels. It's a historic building, looks really beautiful from the outside. The rooms are okay, nothing special. I had a neighbour who was on the phone late at night and I heard every word. You also hear people in the corridor very easily. So not the best place if you're a light sleeper. There's not much the hotel can do here, it's an old building after all. Location of course is great, right where all the life (not much tbh) of Günzburg is. Around 15min walk to the train station.
I recently booked a second time and got covid shortly before so I couldn't make it. According to the booking conditions I would have only gotten a small amount of money back. But the hotel was so nice and refunded me 100%...
