I've booked Prize by Radisson Munich Airport for a transit overnight stay between the flights. I wouldn't say it is located VERY close to the airport but it's still not bad - it took me about 12-15 minutes to get their by taxi. Taxi price was around 26-27 EUR. |Check-in process took about 30 minutes due to a long customer queue at the reception. But hats off to the staff at the reception - despite midnight and a big number of clients waiting to get checked-in, they handled the situation calmly, professionally and in a very polite way. |My room was a so called Design one. It was not spacious, but very modern and clean. Anyway, I only needed it for a short stay due to an early morning flight. Sleeping quality was good and the bed comfy. |There was just one tiny issue when I was checking out in the morning. As I've booked a shuttle (10 EUR) to bring me back to the airport, I supposed to be given a small paper ticket or a shuttle booking confirmation. No one from the reception provided me with it. The shuttle driver demanded that confirmation (invoice showing the shuttle payment was not enough for him). Both driver and me went back to the reception to double check that but receptionist was not there as she was having a quick break or something. Finally, the shuttle driver agreed to bring me to the airport without that ticket so I've managed to catch my flight. That issue, however, didn't spoil my stay at Prize by Radisson Munich Airport at all. I'll be more than happy to book it again. My tip for fellow travellers: if you book a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, please make sure you receive that paper...
Read moreIt was for sure a big luck for our family to choose this hotel to stay at. Prizeotel accepts and accomodates refugees from Ukraine on very welcoming conditions. When the management of the hotel found out that we need a prolongation of the staying, they just didn't charge for 4 more nights from us. It was so touching and really impressive! Here you feel like home from the very moment you enter the hotel doors. Chek in is very fast and easy. Hotel looks amazing and very stylish with its modern and laconic design. Everything is clean and cozy. The rooms charmed us from the first sight. We had free breakfast here according to the supporting program for Ukrainian refugees. And I must say that such breakfast would completely satisfy even the members of the royal family! You can also get all kinds of hot drinks for 24 hrs for free. The stuff of Prizeotel Munich Airport is absolutely amazing, they are a great team and are very professional. But what is more important they become a family for you during your stay at the hotel. Our great thanks to Lina, who helped us with everything we needed, and was very kind and supportive with us. When you are far from your home, and especially for such a sad and devastating reason as we are, meeting people like Lina and other stuff of Prizeotel is a big deal and a great luck! Thank you, guys, for being our family for these several days, thank you for your kindness and hospitality. Our family highly recommend Prizeotel. This is a place where you always will feel...
Read moreStayed here two nights at end of May 2024 and there are at least 3 huge reasons why you should choose this hotel:
It's extremely close to Munich airport The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, patient, and understanding The breakfast is AMAZING and the COFFEE choices are stellar. Don't complain about the added price for breakfast because it would be twice or three times as much for less quality.
In addition, the hotel is extremely close to a GORGEOUS park, that houses the Airport Fussbal stade, tennis courts, fitness course, shooting range, sitting amphitheatre and runner/walker paths that span for miles. This is a gorgeous setting and I can't believe that no one has mentioned it. As someone who loves to walk and run and get out while traveling, this is a huge plus. There isn't a gym at the hotel but who needs one with this park only a short walk away.
The style of the room is unique and it's true they don't have cups or coffee, or anything in the room for you, but they do have excellent and modern style, numerous and plenty outlets including two at each side of bed, and great lighting.
For meals other than breakfast you probably will want to venture out, but they have a well stocked mini grocery with a good wine and beer selection and basic variety of snacks, both shelf and refrigerated. They also have a full bar.
BEDS ARE SUPER COMFORTABLE. LOCATION IS VERY QUIET (at least during the weekend when here). HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Book it on Priceline and get a...
