Mövenpick Restaurant and Winter Garden — Restaurant in Hallbergmoos

On our way back home from our trip to several cities in Greece, Turkey and Cyprus, we found ourselves staying one in Munich. This restaurant seemed to be the closest to where we were staying (walking distance), so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is inside a hotel and the most attractive seating area is an atrium that leads to a garden (a pleasant view). I saw only two waitresses serving several tables (more than what I have seen at other establishments). I had to wait longer than usual for my bill, to the point that I thought the waitress had forgot. We found the prices were very high for the location and the type of restaurant (class, atmosphere, etc.). Our most expensive meal of the trip for sure! We had the classic burger and the club sandwich and both were well-elaborated and filling. Be careful if you order water thinking you will be served tap water (a normal thing in North America), we got a bottle of mineral water at 8.50 Euros. If you are looking for a good meal and the budget is not an issue, this restaurant will hit the mark. We stayed for 3 nights. Location is very convenient for airport access. Breakfast was good but monotonous. Rooms were comfy. Some obvious items like toothpaste and mineral water bottles were not there. Did not get the chance to use sauna or fitness centre. Staff were very helpful & friendly. If you are planning to travel to the city centre then its bit difficult, takes almost 1 hour if you go by bus and then train. Nearest station is Hallbergmoos. We were ignored as we waited to be seated. Then we sat ourselves at the bar. Food selection small and incredibly overpriced. The food took 60 minutes to arrive. The best was the tomato soup (price, quantity and flavor were appropriate). The cesar salad, at €16 without protein, was very tasteless. The anchovy flavor was there, but no other flavor.
