Das Goldschläger Hotel — Hotel in Schwabach

My Wife and I have just spent 4 nights here, as a base to explore Nuremberg from. It’s a beautiful hotel, medium in size, and very well appointed. As soon as you arrive you feel the quality, from the decor, the cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. Saskia was lovely who checked us in.||Only breakfast served here, but it’s plentiful, fresh, and all manner of different choices to suit anyone. I enjoyed it.||There are many restaurants nearby to choose from, Schwabach does not have a shortage of eateries that’s for sure. Just pay attention to opening times though, as they do vary from place to place. ||As a base for visiting Nuremberg, it’s absolutely perfect, you get a lovely quiet town to sleep in, but can access Nuremberg easily by taking a 10 minute walk to the train station, pay your €4,70 for a single ticket, and be in Nuremberg in another 10 minutes if you catch the Regio train, or 20 if the S-Bahn. Just bear in mind too that the Rally Grounds is a fair bit outside the city centre, so additional public transport is required, you can change trains at Nuremberg hbf for this, and continue on to Nürnberg-Dutzendteich station, or Nürnberg Frankenstadion. ||Parking is available too, albeit 150m up the street, but that’s a massive bonus considering the central location, they’re nice new car ports too, so has some cover. There is an additional cost of €10 a day for parking, which again is pretty reasonable.||All in all this was the perfect start to our trip to Franconia, and we couldn’t have been more happy....

Very cozy hotel in the middle of a beautiful town about 20 minutes of drive away from Nürnberg. The building and the rooms are very modern and comfortable but the design was mixed with the traditional German "Fachwerkhaus" looks which creates an interesting and unique duality. Everybody is very kind and helpful. We had a small issue with the payment but the hotel team solved with great flexibility. Breakfast is great, everything is from premium ingredients. Finally - a hotel at the heart of the city, 1 minute walking distance from the local movie theatre 🎭, the best pizzeria in town and the new Anna bar.
