I am sorry to give such a bad review, but we were very let down by this place. ||Mistake 1: We showed up in the evening, after sending an email 4 days before hand to let them know we would arrive in the evening, and they had given away our room. As we sat there waiting to find out what other hotel they would put us at, we heard them explaining to other people, that they had also given away their rooms as well. Many people were unhappy, and the hotel employee were quite unapologetic and uncommunicative about the whole situation. ||||Mistake 2:this hotel is in Osu, one of the most lively neighborhoods in Accra, and the initial 'new' hotel they found for us was by the airport. They also said they were not sure how long we would have to stay there.||||They did fix the problem, because we insisted on being in Osu, and they found us a hotel in Osu. In fact, the second hotel turned out to be great (friendlier staff, quieter rooms), but we still felt a bit ripped off because the second hotel cost less than the first one, and there was no swimming pool at the second one either. ||||Mistake 3:they told us we could come over and use their swimming pool during the day, but turns out it was closed for maintenance.||||We believe this is mainly an issue of communication, where information was not clearly passed, but it was enough to add a large challenge and a negative feeling to the end of our vacation. Read moreThis is a very 2 or 3-storey inn around Osu area. There are very few rooms (around 10). Limited parking lots available for customers. It is located near walking distance to Laramart and Oxford Street Mall. ||Free wifi access are also available for in-house guests. A well maintained and clean swimming pool is also available for guests leisure. ||Check-in process was simple and fast. Expecting our arrivals, the staff has got our rooms ready and went the extra mile to switch on the air con to cool the room. ||Rooms are equipped with all the basic necessities. But I found the bed to be too soft for my comfort. A complimentary bottled drinking water will be very welcoming on Accra's hot days; but there wasn't any in my room. TV reception was also very bad in my room. Since I was too tired to watch any TV programme, this wasn't an issue with me. ||The stay came with a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is ala-carte American breakfast. The view from the upper deck at the breakfast restaurant area was good and the cool morning breeze was really refreshing. ||There are no lifts in this inn; hence quite cumbersome when we need to carry our heavy luggages up and down the staircase. But assistance was provided during check-in. ||Overall, this is quite a pleasant...
Read moreArrived at the Hotel and given a lower standard room to the one I’d paid for. I complained and was told they would give me a room with a balcony which I’d already booked the next day. |The hotel pool bar was not open so if you want to lay around the pool and expect to drink Campari forget it. |Had a meal on the roof top terrace unfortunately I had to travel two floors down every time I needed to Order a drink. |WiFi through out the hotel is disappointing so no watching Netflix on your phone. |The booking agent Hotels.com are a pointless as they don’t reply with any haste or enthusiasm to solve the problem. They gave me a contact number which is free if I had a land line extending all the way from the U.K. to Ghana. Their online chat was not accessible due to the poor WiFi at the hotel. I got a 20% online. Which is more than I’d have paid if I’d approached the hotel my self. |The hotel is of a standard but not up to the...
