I stayed here for almost 2 weeks and my first impression of the hotel upon arrival was that it was clean, and the customer service was excellent for the first 3-4 days of my stay. The room was clean but I did see what other guests were referring to, the mildew and mold spots in in the bathrooms. If that was addressed then it could alleviate that problem regarding cleanliness. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the airport so that was a bonus. The breakfast menu needs much improvement. The menu didn't change for the entirety of my stay except for the drinks. After the first 3-4 days the service went downhill. It became a hit and miss. I had to constantly contact housekeeping about cleaning the bathroom and providing me with towels and wash clothes. I'm on vacation so the bathroom is getting heavy use. Besides that I'm a very clean person so I would request water and for the trash to be removed. Other than that they didn't have to do anything else. I ate from the chinese restaurant on the premises and got sick so I missed a day from my trip because I needed to stay in the room. I heard comments made about black americans amongst the staff which is totally disrespectful and unprofessional. I had several issues outside of what is listed but for time sake I will limit my review to this. I requested to speak to a supervisor and the staff proceeded to send people to my room that is not in a supervisory or managerial position and once I did make contact with someone about all the issues I had all they offered was a credit to the room for what I paid for the meal. I was extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service skills and was hoping to utilize them for my future business ventures but at this point I will seek out another location for my future stays. I would recommend this location based on price if you want prices comparable to what you would pay in the states but other than that I would seek another location for your stay. Customer service is lacking and is a big deal to me when I am spending my money...
Read moreAfter a disappointing stay at a more hyped property, Tang Palace Hotel gave me everything I didn’t realize I was missing. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere felt composed and confident. There was no standing at the counter to check in—we were seated in the lobby, offered a refreshing drink, and kindly checked in while we relaxed. That small gesture set the tone for the entire stay.||||The suite was spacious and well-thought-out. My son had a loft with his own bathroom, giving us both space and privacy—a level of comfort that truly matters during longer trips. The interior design was rich and classic, featuring deep-toned, luxurious furniture that felt more custom than commercial. While the view was compromised due to nearby construction, the value for the price was unmatched.||||The on-site restaurant delivered some of the most consistently tasty meals I’ve had in a hotel setting. The buffet included jollof rice, grilled chicken, baked plantains, watermelon juice, fresh pastries, and rotating local and continental dishes—flavorful, balanced, and clearly prepared with care. We also stopped by the boutique shop in the lobby, which offered thoughtful souvenirs and essentials—something more hotels should consider.||||Though there was live music in the dining area, it was limited to special events or paid experiences, which I wasn’t aware of beforehand. Still, the overall vibe remained warm and relaxed.||||We even enjoyed the small gym across the street—clean, functional, and a nice bonus.||||Tang Palace Hotel doesn’t chase trends—it delivers quiet luxury, good food, and practical comfort. Read moreI’ve dined at this institution a number of times. And to be honest it’s not worth it. Maybe I’d give the buffet some credit but apart from that everything is bad. Like I said the continental buffet is okay, and I mean just okay. But with the Chinese restaurant on the right.. nope. Horrible. I’ve been to the buffet a number of times and it’s been so and so. But on this day we decided to try the Chinese side. First of all. Appalling service. The waiters and waitresses all seemed to be new on the job because no one knew exactly what there were to do. There was no designated person to cater to us. Right from the starters and drinks, we struggled to find something available. When we finally got the Tempoura shrimp and spare ribs, we had to wait forever to get our drinks. The shrimp was bland and the ribs looked like leftovers. Moving on to the main meal. We had two sauces, two rice servings and one noodle serving. Simply put, the food was not 4-star hotel restaurant worthy. Oh did I forget to say we had to “beg” before someone brought us hot towels to wipe our hands? I could go on and on about how bad the experience was and it’s gonna be a long read so I’ll just leave it here. The bill finally came and there was a compulsory 10% charge. At this point I just laughed. On top of it the waiters took a tip in the slyest manner. There was a birthday party also next to my table and to be honest the staff needn’t have sung for the lady. I don’t know if they’re frustrated or underpaid or something. But I’m definitely not gonna recommend this...
