Pelagos bay is such a beautiful B&B hotel.|Pelagos bay is such a beautiful B&B hotel. Set in a nice and quiet location for a relaxing break. It’s a small family run place, and Billy, Barbara and their family make you feel so welcome as soon as you arrive. The rooms are good, but with the odd niggle, clean and well maintained.|They carried our suitcases to our room at the beginning of our holiday and to the reception when we left.|The hotel prefers cash, and there were signs to that effect in the reception and the bar, with the reason that the ‘bank charges’ were high for a small business, and the Broadband was not always good enough for the machine. The nearest cash machine is right outside the Hotel.|The rooms are well presented and clean. All rooms have a sea view a balcony with table and chairs and a drying rack with pegs, come with a kettle but no tea, coffee, sugar or milk, a fridge, wardrobe for hanging clothes and drawers and a Hairdryer. The shower in our room was a little tight being a concertina type folding doors screen, when inside and you keep rubbing the sides as you shower and the hot water first thing in the morning was just tepid.|Extras you pay for are, Air conditioning €10 a day if booked for entire stay or €12 per night , and it automatically switched off, when the room key was removed, when the room door was opened, and when a balcony door was opened., beach towel €8 for the week, Safe €20 a week I think.|Pool area kept very clean, lots of sun beds and parasols with comfortable cushions to enjoy the sunshine, no towel rush.|The pool has a waterfall every so often and a basketball net, plenty of inflatables available & a child's pool cordoned off by railings. |Only food & drink in plastic Glasses bought from the bar is allowed round pool. |The lunchtime menu was varied and tasty, and the same as the evening menu, some say the food and drink are a little on the pricy side compared with the town, but as always you pay for the convenience of not having to leave your sunbed to look for a meal.|Bar / Dining area nice, The Wasps were a pest at meal times and the hotel had traps and other repellents and guests brought their own repellents to try and keep them away, but it was the same where ever you went for food.|You can buy snacks, ice creams, bottled drinks. Play pool €2, and a little Bar football table at the Bar area, and there is a Book library in the reception area, where there is some board games available to play. Table tennis is available on an area above the pool above the sun lounging area, and giant chess at the bottom end of the pool near a seating area.|The Wi-Fi only reliably works in the bar / pool area and there are no televisions in the rooms, but there is a TV at the Bar and in the reception lounge.|The bar staff are excellent especially the barman Yanni in the late afternoon/till late evening, he is a great asset to the hotel with his fun & happy stories, charm, and knowledge of the area.|Katarina runs a yoga class |Billy looks after donkeys he’s rescued, plus goats, Ducks, Chickens, Cockerel on land behind the hotel, and tortoises near the pool, you will see and hear them every day, but you get used to them.|Location is perfect The hotel is opposite a lovely bay across the road is a must and is very beautiful the water is crystal clear you can also hire kayaks and paddle boards and it is just a short walk to other beaches. |There is an excellent family-run restaurant Old Times next door, though you need to book, it is very popular. Food very fresh and cooked to order, and The Nautilus restaurant just a bit further down serves more than just fish dishes, and plenty more Restaurants in Skala itself, also there is a patisserie called Sugaro 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel, which sold fabulous home-made gelato at €2 for a large tub. Or €2.50 for a cone, but it’s an easy 20/25 downhill walk to Skala with €7 taxi options to get back if needed. |The capital Argostolli is available to get to from outside the hotel by bus, only one bus a day. Takes 75 mins and buy your return ticket when you get there, bus returns at 2:30pm. Poros is the opposite way is just 15 mins away. |At breakfasts there was white and brown bread for toasting, there was white brown rustic bread, 3 different jams etc. plus honey, butter, juice, tea, coffee hot and cold milk, or 2 cereal's cornflakes & chocolate shells, and at 9am you could buy a cooked breakfast if you wanted. |The Bar is more expensive than other places, but they have a happy hour where you get a €1 off some drinks and cheaper cocktails, or you can buy your own food and drink, there is a couple of supermarkets a short walk away and consume them in your room or on your balcony.|Skala is a good place to visit; you get warm welcomes, good food and nice beaches with so many bars/restaurants along its front and in the town. |If you have any mobility issues and requires a room lower down as there are quite a few steps up to the rooms, contact the hotel before you go. |Just a note to guest staying at Pelagos Bay, Please have consideration for your fellow guests in your Block, shut your doors gently, especially late at night if you don’t it will be heard by all of the block, lift chairs and the tables off the ground and don’t drag them across the floor as these will also be heard by the whole block, if on an upper floor of the block when gentlemen use the toilet for a number one it can be heard in other rooms, and the flushing of the toilet is also heard in other rooms in the block, so can flip flops and clogs walking on the floor and a word of warning if you get a bit to frisky you may get applauded for your efforts by your fellow guests in your block when you finish.|There were a lot of repeat customers which were clearly all together who meet up each year and are happy to share their experiences of thing to do and place to go. |Great facilities for the last day too. Two showers and a changing room available to use.|Before going on this holiday I read all the reviews including the one star and two star reviews from my experience I can say the 1 and 2 star reviews were unjustified. If you go to a 3 star hotel expecting 5 stars then you will be disappointed.|For us though we could see past the niggles and it was the feeling the hotel gives you, it a warm welcoming feel which makes relaxing days all the better. What Pelagos lacks in some areas, it makes up for in comfort and kindness. |We will be back as often as we can fit it in.|Thank you Billy, Barbara, and the family, also all the staff who help run this...

This was our second stay at Pelagos Bay and we can't wait to return. It is a lovely family run hotel with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The guests that visit here are a great bunch and we made lots of new friends around the pool and at the bar.

The pool and bar area was kept immaculate with beautiful flowers and little tortoise around the grounds. There were plenty of sun loungers for everyone and they were so comfortable. We loved hearing the donkeys excitement at feeding time and seeing them roaming around the sanctuary.

The rooms were cleaned daily and the beds very comfortable. There is a fridge and kettle area within the room for refreshments and a good hairdryer. There is air-con at extra charge which worked well and seemed pretty new.

The location is great with beautiful sea views from the balconies and a great restaurant (Nautilus) just 5 minutes away. There are many beaches to visit minutes down the road and a little bay area opposite. It is a 30 min walk to Skala town or a short taxi down at around 7 euro each way.

The breakfast provided are a selection of cereal, breads, jam, juice, tea and coffee. I am celiac and they did say they can provide GF cornflakes on request (ahead of time). I opted to bring my own GF porridge to eat.

My only niggle is I would liked to have an option of fresh fruit/yogurt as part of the breakfast, however the shop down the road sells lots of fresh fruit such as banana's, melon and the most beautiful peaches and nectarines. We also found the bar was quite pricy, we would've liked to have drank down there more often in the evening. The beer is about 6 euro a pint but my Gin and Tonic was 12 euro a drink. We opted to buy our own alcohol at the shop and drink on our balcony. If the prices were a little lower we would have happily spent our euros at the bar.

The staff and owners Barbera and Billy are absolutely brilliant and put a smile on our faces daily. The minor niggles did not affect the amazing time we had at Pelagos Bay as the atmosphere and good times are far superior to neighboring big hotels. We can't wait to return for some more peaceful vibes and...

Just returned from a 7 night stay and already want to return. What can I say other than we found our paradise.

Barbara and Billy are just the perfect hosts and it is easy to see why they have so many return guests.

The rooms are traditionally Greek and all the balconies are sea facing. The pool is spacious and deep in places. Around the pool all loungers have mattress and are super comfortable.

We ate a few times and the food was lovely. I recommend the Gyros platter and the spicy Greek cheese! The Greek Cheese pies were also great. Worth noting the English breakfast comes with eggs from the chickens on site - Delicious.

A special mention to Yannis the barman, great with every guest and even made special drinks for my partner. Love all of his English quirks like “respect” and “lovely bubbly”

Billy and his rescue animals are absolutely amazing. He was kind enough to let us feed the donkeys twice and even once took us to his house to see the baby donkeys and all the other wonderful animals he keeps. Most days we bought lettuce to feed the army of tortoises around the pool and they are just so cute! You can see just how much the animals love Billy and how much care he puts into them.

Opposite the hotel is a private cove which is absolutely stunning. Crystal blue waters with lots of rock formations - the snorkeling was a dream.

Honestly, I can’t say enough about this hotel and could spend hours writing a review. We will definitely be back in 2026!

Thank you for the...

Wife stayed here 15 years ago, and insisted we went for lunch, as she wanted to show me how lovely the hotel is. Glad she did, we had a lovely few hours here. The owners Billy and Barbara are great hosts, making you feel very welcome. We had a fantastic lunch and drinks and spent time looking at the tortoises, donkeys and goats, swimming in the crystal blue warm waters in the bay opposite. My son and I, also went paddle boarding in the bay(they have them for hire at the Pelagos Bay Hotel.) Great place to stay and visit. Can't wait to come back. 😎

Barbara, her family and her team are so friendly, helpful and kind. The cocktails are great, the staff are fun and caring and the pool is great with the added bonus of the basketball net to keep even the adults entertained. Clean showers, toilets and changing rooms at pool and reception has interesting history on Kephelonia. The banana splits are amazing!Thank you xx
