Eos Residence Athens - My Greek Vacations — Hotel in Athens

EDIT: I was not given door codes to a third party error. That being said, I did reach out to the company directly via e-mail, phone, and WhatsApp and received a response 24 hours later. Far too late to actually benefit from the booking as we obviously had to book another hotel with nowhere to sleep the night before.

Original post: Sad to be writing a bad review, but had a very unfortunate experience…

We arrived on the day of check in, but were not sent the codes to get into the main entrance or our hotel room. Our booking agent tried to get ahold of the company for over an hour, but had no luck. I attempted to email, call, and WhatsApp the property, but also had no luck. After about two hours we gave up as it was getting late and after traveling for 20 hours…. We wanted somewhere to lay down. Unfortunately, with limited availability due to having to book last minute, we ended up having to book another hotel for a significant amount of money.

I’m thankful it was not late and I was with my husband because this could have been a MUCH different story. Even in safe areas, bad things can happen when you’re alone and a woman. I guess if you book through the site directly you may not have this issue, but the lack of response was still concerning given they state “around the clock”...

I booked this from Expedia thinking that’s a hotel but it’s not. It is an apartment building. Check in was so easy, they messaged us few days before check in with all the instructions. Our room was clean but very small. 3 of us were bumping to each other lol. Our friends , just a couple, were also staying in the same place but they had a two bedroom apartment. Same price. I did my booking through TD Expedia and they did through Expedia so I am not sure if that makes a difference. The toilet seat was broken, however it was our fault for not reporting it right away otherwise they would have fixed it for us. We had laundry facilities in our apartment which was great. Location also was great, 10 min walk to the subway station and two stops to Plaka area. There is a great restaurant with decent prices right beside the apartment. Really liked it í was there from 30th of april until 7th of May! It was small but enough for me because I was just alone ! You could cook there, had a laundry machine, 2 sets of towels maybe the only thing I would say could be better is maybe have a hanger or something for jackets, and I was on the ground floor so I didn't have balcony that was the only thing that bothered me but else was just perfect ! It was a great location. supermarket nearby and the train station just 2 stops from monastiraki. Also had a great hostess named Eva she was very friendly ! If there was anything she was happy to help, I got very anxious because the safe wasn't open and apparently it had to be restored so she sent a man right away the morning after and that was some young man called Jeff he was very nice and he was very quick solving this problem !
