Five Brand New Boutique Apartments Central Athens — Hotel in Athens

Great location for a tourist. All instructions for entry/keys etc where sent via WhatsApp with video. The flat we booked ('4') was 1st floor, high ceilings, wooden floors, bedroom, living room, bathroom with shower section and a kitchen with a small balcony (We used to dry clothes). All very clean and temperature wise: perfect in late April. Kitchen has pots, plates, cutlery, coffee machine, fridge and a electric cooker (No washing machine). Very close to the 'Petralona' metro station and 30min walk to centre. Do note the views to outside are looking at other flats and there's a metal spiral staircase to reach another flat close by which you can hear when people climb up so dont be alarmed at night in bed. We were trying to contact the landlord in order to find out how we will receive the keys one day before our arrival. After several attempts a lady called back, harldy English speaking(no Greek either) and told us that since we will arrive after 6pm, we will receive the keys from a safety box and she would send us the code to open it.||Since we were about to reach Athens and no code received,yet, we tried to contact again and then we received the message that she couldn't welcome us, she would cancell the reservation and we should find another apartment..all the above a couple of hours before our arrival. ||After that and havind spent several hours speaking to the help desk of booking, we are still trying not only to cancel the charge(which was cancelled by the property)but not to have a...

We arrived in Athens and we were denied check-in even though we had confirmed with them what time we were arriving. They said that they didn't have an employee that could let us in because she had another job, and they wouldn't let us come pick up the keys from them. They told us that we would have to find a different place to stay that night (which was almost impossible since it was the day of and during peak tourism season) and that they would check us in in the morning.
