I had a reservation with this hotel, and the hotel sent me a message saying that the price was wrong so I needed to cancel. Since the reservation was through booking.com, I couldn’t cancel it myself without losing the money I’d paid for it and my genius points used for the reservation. The hotel told me more than once that I should cancel it and they would return the money through an external link, it refused over and over again to cancel it themselves giving me different reasons for why I should cancel it, and being rude the whole time even though the wrong price they affirmed they’ve posted was their mistake not mine. They only canceled it themselves after I told them I would put up a complaining with booking.com
It’s seems to me it might be a scam, because as I said, they gave me different reasons to cancel, they told me I should cancel, they told me I would get my money through an external link they would send me etc etc. I would be careful if I were you
Since they replied here, I would like to add that I made the reservation with my genius points and paid the city tax that was charged. I told them that it would be better if they cancelled my reservation since I would lose my points, and I didn’t want to cancel it, they wanted me to. They told me that it wasn’t related to them and belittled me in their reply here for paying this way. Again, if they posted the wrong prices, it was they responsibility to solve that, and forcing me to fix their mistake didn’t sit right with me. I’m adding another part of the conversation here to prove that I wasn’t trying to cause them harm and tried for...
Read moreOkay this review is going to sound fake but I feel obligated to write one. As soon as we walked onto the property we felt at home. Evi, (the daughter) didn't just check us in, she walked us up to our room, explained the amenities, asked us if we need help with our luggage.. and then kindly took the time to suggest where to eat... This was all after checking in after closing hours (long drive from Meteora) Our room was really spacious, bed was super comfy and had a cute terrace with great hot water and good water pressure. Next morning we were offered complimentary welcome snack/coffee. I had no idea that was included so I was super happy. Tasty Greek yogurt, coffee and a piece of cake. Evi came around and offered a flower to my girl which totally made her day. (she loves flowers) We made a stop over on Galaxida for the quaint and lovely spirit the internet had bragged about. I feel like Hotel Miramare, and EVI especially, are a great summation of the vibe going on in the awesome little seaport village. If you're looking to get away from that commercial feeling and want to feel like you're back home, book a night and see for yourself. We'll...
Read moreMiramare is a warm and welcoming locally run b&b in the charming town of Galaxidi. The homemade breakfasts are generous and delicious; the friendliness and responsiveness of owners Costas and Chrisoula is also impressive. We are a family of four who rented two adjacent rooms on the top floor. The rooms were simple but well-furnished with a small kitchenette in addition to the usual amenities. The property was immaculately maintained. Plenty of parking and centrally located for a stroll to the quayside. Close to several delicious and family-friendly restaurants serving fresh and wallet-friendly meals, as well as a seaside park for strolling and swimming. Can’t...
