Hotel Ef Zin Arachova — Hotel in Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra Municipality

The position of the hotel is very good, its at the end of the main Street so you can easily explore the town by foot. check in is very late, 2pm. The rooms are similar to photos but worn (couch arm broken). Ground floor rooms have no view. Some 1st floor rooms should have a view. Breakfast was fine, but not 4*.

Cleanliness in shower was an issue as it was moldy around the base. Extra toilet paper and table cloth was stored in cupboard under sink next to garbage bin. Fire place was smokey in our room, so we ended up not using it again. The beds were very comfortable and the linen lovely.

Our main issue was that the room was without hot water until 10pm. So we were unable to shower after traveling and couldn't freshen up before going to a birthday dinner. I understand this was unintentional but it ruined our stay as their solution for us to wait till 10pm for plummer to fix it was unacceptable. The owners were polite but were unable to manage this issue promptly. We only stayed 1 night. We were charged full price for the room 170euros. My overview is that this hotel is not up to...

I understand i stayed at this hotel during the off season summer months but there is no reason whatsoever for the room to have this smell. What is mold or something else i don't know. We did our best to stay in the room the least amount of hours possible. I will agree with other reviews that the village is much nicer than delphi and the location of the hotel is nice but find something else. For those thinking i'm exaggerating, the hotel staff that showed us the room came back to our room while we were gone to spray "room perfume"...it did mask it a little but still smelled horrible. ||The lunch room was very nice but the food was not good. If you are looking for a romantic getaway to Araxova than look no further, Ef Zin Hotel is the place to stay! ||We upgraded to a sweet with a fireplace and it was totally worth it. The room is so special and clean! It feels like a cozy apartment than a hotel room. ||Staff was amazing! They helped us get a bus back to Athens and took the time to explain the process to us. ||You really cannot beat the location! The hotel is right on the main strip and walking distance to EVERYTHING!
