Barile Resto Vino Bar — Restaurant in Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra Municipality

Went today for brunch and decided for a Bagel Croque Madame - some sort of poached egg version (eggs Benedict) . I had no issue with the waiting time as it was busy and therefore understandable but the fact that when the food eventually came, the entire white part of the egg was completely raw and running all over the bagel..... Well, that was disgusting.I couldn't touch it but my boyfriend tried to eat around it as he was already too hungry. When we asked the waitress about it, she apologized and went in to check with the chef. Now here comes the funny part : she comes back 5 minutes later and tells us that this is how they serve it, uncooked... And the chef didn't do anything wrong... Raw eggs... I mean, which dish does anyone serve with raw eggs? (Salmonella!!) And if that is true, shouldn't that be mentioned when someone is ordering cooked eggs?... Bottom line is, they served us a disgusting food, didn't apologize for it and charged us for...

We are very pleased to have discovered Barile restaurant in Arachova on our lunch stop on the way back home to Athens. From the very first time we spoke at the entrance with Giorgos the waiter I felt confident that dining here will be a gourmet experience that we will enjoy... and we truly enjoyed! Giorgos care and recommendations went beyond our expectations we enjoyed the unique combinations of different tastes and visual presentations. We were thrilled with the kinoa salad and royal mushroom appetizers and the lemon tart dessert was superb. Location, service, quality , presentation of dishes ,ambience, decor and everything else Make this a restaurant superb and that you must experience! Thank you Giorgos and rest of Barile...

We came by just for a cocktail and a small snack. The service was very nice, the snack very good and well presented, but the cocktails were nearly empty. I barely drank a few drops (thankfully they provide a very narrow straw so that it lasts a bit), then there was nothing left to drink and the glass was still totally full of small icecubes (hence leaving little room for the liquids). I don't mind a little bit of ice, but 24€ for two piles of ice felt really exaggerated. We didn't feel like ordering anything anymore and decided to end this evening early although we'd have loved staying for a few more drinks in that lovely atmosphere. A...
