😊: The room looks exactly like in the pictures and it is 2 minutes from the beach (you can see it from the balcony).
It can be a great stay if you rent it for up to 3 days.. 😢: I am not in the habit of travelling with cleaning supplies nor cleaning utensils. Maybe others are and I’m ok with that but, I am not.
That being said, we chose this accommodation with 3 criteria in mind: rating on booking closeness to the beach the room itself (how it looks) It has never crossed my mind to ask about the cleaning services (frequency, what you provide or if I have to make a special request in order to benefit from them etc.) Since you don’t present yourself as a long term rental, you charge by night and you present yourself as a “hotel like” accommodation, I expected “hotel like” services included AND provided - by default.
We rented a triple room for 10 nights at the end of June and we’ve paid 975 Euros. At first, everything seemed OK as the room looks exactly like in the pictures and it is 2 minutes from the beach (you can see it from the balcony).
It can be a great stay if you rent it for up to 3 nights because there is no place for 3 suitcases (not even on the floor), the room feels crowded and, if you plan to keep on staying, you start to notice that even though there was a change of sheets and towels, the room is not clean and neither is the bathroom. After the second change of sheets and towels, when the shower glass is still stained from the salty water in the pipes and the toilet is still rusty, the “WTF?” question appears.
Then, one morning, the owner asks to check your child’s luggage as you are heading towards the beach…
After that, you realise that there is no third change of sheets and towels, nor a forth one and you start remembering the little things that were overlooked at your arrival: the countertop in the kitchenette was dusty and sticky, with coffee grinds, sand and dust on it; the coffee box had used capsules instead of new ones and it was also dirty; the table in the balcony bares the traces of previous guests (all kind of stains, smoked cigarettes, ash, sand); the iron was dirty and the iron board...
Read moreSlept here for 4 nights. On 2 of those nights, the rooms reeked of sewage smell, absolutely disgusting. If you don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night nearly suffocating, avoid this place.
I’ll say it again not to mince words: absolutely disgusting.
PS: I saw a review from a couple years ago with someone else pointing out the same issue, with the owners being like “no no it’s not true”. The owners’ attitude annoyed me to no end, which is a reason why I’m writing this. Avoid this place until the issue is addressed - you WILL regret it otherwise.
PPS: I wrote this in the middle of the night (after being woken up by the sewage smell) so I might have come off as a bit overly-negative. For fairness sake, I’ll mention that some positives exist: the bed was comfortable, the shower nice, the room was clean overall and the location spectacular. So take the good with the bad. They just really really need to do something...
Read moreWhen we arrived the room smelled of sewage. We thought it was from the rough sea but no it didn't go away. The bathroom was filthy dirty. Toothpaste on the mirror and trash left in rubbish bin including used feminine products. The next morning tried to brew coffee in the coffee machine and I kid you not it took 2 hours. This hotel offers absolutely nothing but location. We checked out 2 days early. We will never stay here again or recommend. Much better hotels down the road that offer much more for half the price. Worst place we have ever stayed. To top everything off the owner canceled our booking through booking.com so we couldn't leave a review there and we lost our booking...
