Hotel Alexandros — Hotel in Komotini Municipality

Close to Fanari beach, this hotel is located a bit outside the village center on a quiet side road. The center with its bars, shops and restaurants is in walking distance, though. The nice parts of Fanari and Arogi beach are bit far, driving there was more convenient during the heat of the day. What makes this hotel special is the outstanding hospitality. The owners are dedicated to help you with literally everything you need. The continental breakfast is really delicious, containing not only the usual stuff but also fresh vegetables, home-made marmelade, and sometimes pie or cake. We also got fresh fruit from the owners' garden, and a talk when we wanted to. The rooms are spacious and clean, and there was free Wifi. Fanari not only is a good place for sun bathing and swimming but also for bird watching, and one-day excursions to Xanthi or the Nestos river, and of course the islands of Thasos...

We stayed in Hotel Alexandros for 6 days. We're a big family, we took 2 big room. What i've loved most about this place, it was the attitude of the owner. So friendly and willing to please you and to help you. He let us use the kitchen to cook for us, the price for the whole vacation was a good price, the breakfast was very tasty as he brought us every morning fresh vegetables and fruits from his own bio garden. Everybody speaks english. Every next time when I visit Greece I like it more. The beaches there are the best, the nature is natural with many kinds of birds, the lakes and the monastery in the lake... Everyone has what to do.
